@@draco2xx It wasn't a Jermell problem with engaging, because I saw him throw some good combos to Canelo. But it was Canelo's power that made him shy. Anyone that feels his power knows to be cautious. It's not the same thing saying, "I can beat Canelo" and actually beating him. We all knew the Charlo's are not in the same level. Benavidez will also come-out short. Canelo's best defense is his offense and a healthy Canelo will pound you into submission.

@@isaac_alexander_v because its hard to land a solid punch against a fighter who has been boxing his entire life not opening up completely in defense mode dipshit, your most vulnerable when you are punching yourself, canelo doesnt throw combinations anymore so unless he lands a flush shot he wont stop you, once he did land on the chin he dropped and did damage, but someone with a lot of accumulation like david benavidez would stop the charlos for sure with his output.

It was obvious this was a payday fight from jump. How's a guy gonna take his first shot at 168 against a lb4lb undisputed champ if it wasn't for the bag? I think their gameplan was to gas out Canelo in the first half of the fight and then pick it up in the 2nd half. But that only would have worked if Charlo went to the body early and often. He felt that power and went in survival mode. Charlo should have had a tune up fight.

I think Charlo thought he was gonna get two rounds to settle in, bc Canelo starts at a measured pace, and he got clocked, and I do not think they prepared for the idea that Alvarez could *actually* hit, and he panicked. And, as usual, James had nothing to tell him. Turned out just about how I thought it would go.

Exactly. In the 2nd round when Charlo leaned on the ropes and Canelo caught him with a straight right hand the fight was basically over. He was expecting some big looping shots he didn’t know how accurate Canelo really was. Charlo looked bad. Canelo showed he has the higher fight IQ.

The first power punch that Canelo threw and connected, it was at that moment Charlo knew that he made the biggest mistake of his life by moving up 2 weight classes. Charlo fought like the boogie man came after him, ran for the entire 12 rounds. After getting a taste of Canelo right stinger, Charlo knew if he only stop for just a tiny few seconds it would cause him his life.

People are stupid, I literally felt from my house some of those shots that were landing. Charlo was clearly feeling the power and all of that practice and game plan goes out the window when you feel those shots. He knew after the first 3 rds that he couldn’t let canelo hit him with anything clean or he was gone. Remember charlo is dark skin it’s very hard to see the damage that’s being done and the swelling because of the complexion but the reality those shots were HARD

💯 facts, I said it even when the fight was ongoing... Charlo wasn’t comfortable with canelos power. It was nothing like he’s ever felt before. So he just retreated to survival mode all through the rest of the rounds. Charlo felt he would get credit for going 12 rounds. Yeah if you fought strong for 12 rounds you get credit but you can’t get credit for being scared for 12 rounds 😂
