The Antrim Road was UTV's unofficial theme tune throughout the 1970s. It was broadcast at the start of each day's transmissions, accompanied by a tuning signal.
Here's the theme with the tuning signal which accompanied it from 1970 to 1972. The signal was recovered from a damaged home video recording.
The 'ITA' stands for the Independent Television Authority, who were responsible for regulating the ITV network and owned all its transmitters.
