Auto Rickshaw Drivers of Mumbai seem to be part of a secret cult or some Illuminati or Alien group. Here's another Indian Daily observations video with road rage, bad drivers and what not on the streets of India in Mumbai! This time I discover a new sub culture of Auto Rickshaw Drivers that seem to have no need of a headlight in traffic.
But on the brighter side, these videos are fun to make and that makes up for all the frustration of the idiots on the road.

About the auto drivers. So basically some scientists in Michigan did a study on 100 autodrivers. In this study, they found that autodrivers hated it when someone was ahead of them. They would try everything to pass them. If anything passed them, they would get uncomfortable. Since speed of light is faster then their auto, it makes it difficult for them to pass the light rays of their own headlights. Therefore they prefer to keep it off so that they can concentrate on completing their ride. Hope this helps...

So I have also been curious about this Headlights cult that's been in Mumbai Apparently. One day I was on my motorcycle & saw the exact same thing like anurag did. But I didn't ask any questions about this to any rickshaw wala . But days past & there were more auto driver with headlights off &one day I finally ask one rickshaw wala about this cult And the answer was shocking he literally said me - " Aa lawade apna kam kr " and thats it I finally got my answer

So recently I researched about the auto drivers club. So basically they are a group of midnight racers with boosted engines and race around 12 pm midnight. Their secret code is keeping their headlight off in order to recognise racers. They race for auto slips and often keep those headlights off for hardcore racing.

I could come up with two reasons. 2nd one is more convincing than the first. Firstly being headlight would consume more battery which would make the auto slow. Secondly, headlights produce heat, heat expands stuff so switching on the headlight would technically make the auto larger which would prevent them from going in narrow spaces. This is the actual reason why they do not switch on their headlight.

Autos are supposed to be ninjas of our streets. Think about it, same bodystyle, same color, goes into every small gap in such a way they make Ayrton Senna look like a rookie, quick change in direction, agile turns and disappearing into the concrete jungle, etc. So in that sense, they shouldn't be seen at night also...they're confusing us and going subtle and silently among us like...NINJAS😮!

my theory is that the headlights of autos are maybe too underpower to be used for the likes of the well lit mumbai roads. like all the autos ive been on have this weird pattern of getting dim when the auto rpm is low and stuff.

I remembered my father's Bajaj M80 and later Bajaj CT100. Both had AC headlamp system and the light would fluctuate at low engine RPM. Older autorickshaws also had the same system. This made riding broken village roads at night a challenge. We would usually carry an extra torch for such jaunts. At one time we even had the famous Krushak torch too.

@@aurora3916The reason behind this is because the lights of some autos, scooters, old cars etc are connected to the alternator (a device which produces electical power from mechanical power, used in vehicles for charging back the battery) for power and alternator produces power based on the engine rpm (as it runs from the enigne), so at low rpm, the power produced is low and inconsistent and the lights struggles to be lit. In newer vehicles, the light takes power from battery, which is a consistent source and hence doesn't flicker. LED lights are always powered by battery whereas halogens are usually connected to alternator but can be connected to batteries.

I think they try to conserve and recharge battery power because some of the auto drivers work only in the night or as you said the road is already lit enough with street light and other cars in the traffic using their lights

Well according to roads being so lit up with car lights the auto drivers deliberately don't switch on their headlights ,as there are solar panels in headlights which absorbs the lights coming from cars and then using it for air conditioners situated near their legs ,as their legs can get very sweaty due to heat . This is my theory 😊

This isn't a theory but real event (believe it or not) - Isn't it weird that Anurag has become very consistent, suddenly? Auto drivers are trying to indicate us viewers through some secret headlight language that the person that we are watching isn't the real, inconsistent Anurag. He has been replaced. And Anurag's replacement, being smarter than Anurag, knows that the butterscotch gang will notice it. So he is acknowledging it, but trying to purposefully give it a direction in which everyone will stop believing even if people like me get the signs of auto drivers and try to tell it to the audience.. Please be aware guys. Don't believe everything he says.

Auto Rickshaw drivers are having there headlights off, cause they get the abilities like Night Vision and X-Ray on Purnima(Full moon), which allows them to slip through any window they get on the road and drop there passenger 20 mins before the expected arrival (in actuality they leave their passengers 20 mins late, but the passengers don't know that). Therefore, my conclusion is, Auto-Rickshaw Drivers get Super Powers on Full Moon.
