I'm absolutely in love with these guys. The quality, variety and versatility of their bits it's just something out of this world. their models are crisp, absurdly easy to assemble and the range won't stop growing, which is a terrible thing for my finances. They deserve all the support we can provide.

Also, they mix and match with other model makers bits quite well. One of the things I'd wanted to do for years, was a Halo ODST drop army for 40k. Had come across Anvil, and liked their armoured torsos, arms and legs, but didn't have a helmet I liked. Was browsing Shapeways and came across someone doing 28mm ODST Helmets, Magnum Pistols, and the Assault Rifles, which dropped in perfectly onto the Anvil bodies with little modification. I also used Special weapons from Victoria Minis as they looked a bit more like the special weapons from Halo. Should really get around to finish painting that army.....

Anvil Industries has amazing customer service, too. I once had purchased a large order of head sprues and one of the sprues was missing two of the exact heads I was wanting use. I contacted customer support and they refunded my order at the cost of the missing parts (which was only about $2). It was a small thing, but went a long way in ensuring a life-long customer.

One big thing with Anvil Industries is that they DO make Heavy Weapons teams. There are a lot of 3rd party manufacturers out there, and a lot of places that make cool looking models. However, a lot of these lines of models just do your standard infantry-and-command models. If you want a mortar team, or a laser cannon team, often you are out of luck. Anvil's squad builder lets you get all sorts of heavy weapons teams that will match all the rest of your models.

I ordered some Anvil Industry bits to convert some phobos marines into a crew for Space Station Zero, to make them a little more Halo/near-future and less 40k. Crispy clean and sharp as heck casting. Honestly I've tried Spellcrow, Kromlech and now Anvil and I can't understand Forgeworld's quality control sometimes. Across a whole order of heads, torsos and legs, only found one bubble in a hard to find place under a foot.

Absolutely love Anvil Industries, side note they keep all their slightly lower quality pours (fail their quality standards for sale but are otherwise pretty decent, think excess flashing/slight damage/partly used sprues/etc alongside things like slight damage) and sell them in a big mixed bag usually around xmas time for a fairly cheap price. Also the 'definitely not purity seals' they sell are incredibly detailed for the size they are.

Love these people! Recently got into Silver Bayonet and a single Perry Minature's French Elite Infantry box plus a load of the "bits" from Anvil Industries is letting me put together a unique 8 man French unit of monster hunters and 7 revenants (read: zombie/undead 18th century French) for less than 40 quid total which is absolutely nuts considering there's enough leftover plastic there for 25 more models!

About 2 years ago I bought myself a set "raw" dice from my favorite local game store. Due to needing to ink then polish them I ended up diving into the KZfaq rabbit hole about dice and those two topics... but the funny thing is while learning about how to do that most of those channels also showed how they make their own custom resin dice. It simply made me wonder how and why these people were able to make resin dice without any bubbles in the resin about 99.9% of the time simply by using vacuum pots and yet certain larger companies (::cough:: GW :: cough::) never seemed to learn this basic method of removing air bubbles from their resin/casting process. Nice to see the live for the smaller independent companies who care about the quality of their products and the using the proper processes of casting/manufacturing for the products they do create. Kind of makes you wonder why stuff from FW seems to be so highly priced with such poor quality control.

I am converted to resin thanks to Anvil Industries. Their resin is clean and has a bit of flexibility to it. I have some heavy weapons and shoulder pads to aid converting/enhancing some Wargames Atlantic Cannon Fodder ☺ Also now exploring the arms range for more conversions and also utilising leftover bodies or old GW Space Marine bodies with no original plastic arms to use with them. A.I. do make some excellent kit and they often include extra hands or other bits n bobs on their sprues. Every order I've made (3 or 4 so far) has been a source of excitement about what else can be done with their stuff! Thoroughly recommend these guys 👍☺

Whenever you need something specific for a kitbash or basing material, it's always good to check Anvil Industry. They often have exactly the thing you need. Or the thing you didn't know you needed until you saw it in their catalogue. A lot of plastic kits, like from Wargames Atlantic, may have everything you need for a normal squad, but not what you need to turn one of them into a leader. Anvil Industry have all manner of capes, cool weapons, or the like to make them into someone important.

There’s lots of different types of resin used for minis. Some are hard and brittle, some soft and bendy, then there’s the ”plastic resin” used by some manufacturers… You never really know what you’re getting with resin until you try a line of models.

I love this buisness model Anvil uses.... Them, and Mad Robot Miniatures, Reptillian Overlords, and so many others. Lightyears ahead of the 'big guys' in the market, and likely to inherit all of my disposable income dedicated to miniatures! Selling resin, and digital STL files is the way to go for miniature makers these days, especially if there are shipping issues (as we saw in 2020....). I just got into resin SLA printing, but I still plan on buying resin from these small shops as well. After all, why buy an STL for a one off character model?! Troops and gear is another matter, but given the reasonble price point for the resin... It'll save machine cycle time, wear and tear, etc.

Been a regular customer for anvil for a while. Their models are awesome, and their 3d print stls are the best. Just echoing the sentiments in the comments: Their STL's (and associated patreon) are excellent! If you have Blender, you can even take parts off of individual components and kitbash them onto others. Borrowing a sigil from one guy's helmet to put on another's torso, for example. I don't think anybody else out there is using the strengths of the STL format as much as they do.

With GW and Forge World raising their already exorbitant prices while removing necessary models from production, I really need to start looking through Anvil’s catalog again. I don’t have any experience with them (yet), but I have ordered from Zinge Industries and was really impressed with the quality of their products. I bought Breacher shields for my 30K Raven Guard Legion from them, because I already had a bunch of MKIII Marines from the Burning Of Prospero boxed game and the shields were the only part I needed to make my own. When I was financially able to order the actual FW Breacher kit, I broke down a couple of the ones that I had made, and used the shields for some HQ/ Special Characters, and they look great. Anvil is my next stop though, since I just got a 3D printer and they sell the STLs as well as kits. I just have to learn the damned thing, because I’m hopeless when it comes to computers- an old friend once called me a “Neo-Luddite Rube” because of it. (We are no longer friends 🤷🏻‍♂️) Thanks for the video, I really like the “This is why I like it” format. 👍🏻

7:10 "action poses"...i look at a box of miniatures product page and usually make a decision on whether im going to buy it based off of how many models are posed in some logical way, walking, weapon ready, aiming etc...however when running, standing on one leg, aggressively swinging takes up most of the box I keep looking or I kitbash to get the units I want without the "action" pose...assault intercessors for example, four out of ten are wildly power swinging while running...jakhals almost 100% power swing poses...melee weaponry combatants should look more calculating than a firearm toting unit...pugilist stances not swan dives...building out a dystopian raider army and I like the options I am now aware of.
