Jackson, It is all in the mind. God has given us life to enjoy. Meditation heals anxiety as it reprogrammes the mind. Watch alternate nostril breathing meditation videos on Google and do it for 5 to 10 minutes if possible twice a day. You can sit on a chair and do it. Second life transforming technique is to close eyes, sit in one place with back erect without moving for 5 to 10 minutes-Be still and observe your breath. Negative thoughts will reduce. Shyaaam Sir, Mentor. Make meditation a daily habit

It was one fine night I was sleeping. Suddenly something jolted me from my sleep , I started feeling dizzy (I already have BPPV) ,my heart started to race. I felt like it's definitely sign of a heart attack. I Wendy to the hospital and after the medications I was fine. Next Day I again had a Panic Attack out of nowhere. I went to the doctor and got my ECG. Again nothing wrong. Then for about 6-7 days I was completely normal , I forgot whatever happened and started with my normal life. Then one day I went to stay at my cousin's place for a change. We enjoyed a lot . In the night we were having some random discussions when my cousin told me about a known person who was recently diagnosed with Brain Tumor. AND that was the moment it went into my head . That night after almost 10 days of my first panic attack I again had one. This time I was scared of having a Brain Tumor. I went to the Toilet with my mobile at midnight searching for Brain Tumor symptoms. And Damn... I had them. Feeling Dizzy , fainted. Numbness in limbs.. I got scared AF. The very next day I went to see a Neurologist and she said I had Vertigo and nothing else. But I wasn't satisfied that easily. The horrors of Brain Tumor was in my head 24/7. And now I got more symptoms. My body used to Twitch and Shake a lot while sleeping..and also my head used to Twitch and give me Sudden jolts right before I was about to fall asleep. My doubt of having a Brain Tumor increased day by day. I was not eating anything. not speaking to anyone. Just Googling around about Brain Tumor. Then I again went to the Neurology. She said me to get An EEG done. And if it would be abormal. Then we'll go for an MRI. So I got my EEG done the very same day . It was normal. Got releif for couple of hours ( I enjoyed that time eating and talking to others) But the symptoms persisted. I was not satisfied with the EEG. I wanted an MRI . So I went to A Neuro Surgeon this time. He told me that 99% I had anxiety but still asked me to get an MRI done. So I got that.. And it was also normal. (Apart from the fact that I had a bit extra CSF in my brain which the doctor told me was normal as this is my Brain structure since birth). So I was fine for a few days. (However I had the twitching and trembling still while trying to sleep) I couldn't stop myself from Googling about the symptoms. SO I googled about these involuntary shaking ... And got the results. Now I found something with the Name of PARKINSONS . And again the same story I felt I had all the symptoms. I was scared to hell. I started feeling that my body is not producing enough of Dopamine (a sign of PARKINSONS) I again went to the doctor. He said PARKINSONS happens in old age. But I was still not satisfied. What if it was rare to me ? Likewise I again started googling. This time I felt it was Multiple System Atrophy. followed by Multiple Sclerosis. Sometimes Lyme's Disease. Till now I have visited a dozen doctors (Neurologist , Nuero Surgeons , Psychologist , psychiatrist , ENT ) All said that I have Anxiety issues. And after going through your website I'm confirmed that it's nothing but Anxiety. These Symptoms are still there and they still scare me.. But I'm sure they'll go away if I stop worrying. But I'm still confusion why I got a Panic Attack at the very first time out of literally no where .

Sometimes subconsciously your mind can be traumatised by something that happened to you and you might not even realise it, I have experienced and am currently experiencing all the things you are going through and I know what started mine now but I didn’t think it affected me as much as it did until physical symptoms happened

is it common for symptoms of anxiety to cause you the most anxiety overall, therefore you’re stuck in a loop of being anxious about getting symptoms, getting the symptoms, then when they go away you’re anxious of them reoccurring again?
@anxietycentre
@anxietycentre 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's a very common scenario. You can break that cycle by learning that anxiety symptoms aren't worth worrying about. Since they are merely symptoms of stress, we can eliminate them by reducing stress and giving the body time to recover. As it recovers, symptoms subside. That said, these types of fear are often caused by health and medical sensitivities. Working with an experienced therapist can help you overcome those sensitivities.

It takes me weeks to get back to normal after an anxiety episode. I havent had panic attacks in 2 years but I often live a stressful life. So when something terrifying or unfortunate happens I down spiral into this debilitating anxious episode where I twitch I get pins and needles everywhere I get insomnia and extreme brain fog to the point where I dont want to live. And I stay stuck that way for days. I focus on my physical symptoms and it's so hard to get better. Once the brain fog starts getting better I start feeling better. But the physical symptoms remain for days. Currently dealing with that as I write.

@anxietycentre
@anxietycentre 3 жыл бұрын
If your doctor has attributed your tinnitus (ringing in the ears) to anxiety and stress, it will subside as you address your anxiety issues and stress. My tinnitus lasted right through my struggle with anxiety. It subsided after I eliminated hyperstimulation. It comes and goes with my stress, indicating a strong link to stress and the electrical activity in the nervous system (which includes the brain). I've had many clients who had tinnitus. It subsides when we address our anxiety and stress issues.

I know having strong anxiety symptoms can feel overwhelming and defeating, but since they are just symptoms of stress, if you work at reducing your stress, not worrying about them, and letting time pass, you'll see that they will ease up and eventually subside in time. And if it's something you are interested in, you can connect with one of our recommended therapists to help you with your anxiety issues. We can return to normal health by eliminating hyperstimulation and working on our anxious behavior. Anxiety and its symptoms aren't a life sentence of struggle.

I wake up shaking. It just started. I had a pretty simple panic attack but it was enough to have me running around for 2 days trying to understand why I'm now this way. I dont think its a serious mental disorder but I'm confused. It just started after a panic attack. I then had a minor incident the next day but my emotions were effected. It's a bunch of bullshit now that I've realized how foolish I was being but now my stress, heart rate, shaking, emotionally identification, shoulder stress and inability to stop and calm down are effected. I've been in lockdown since I work in restaraunts and have had nothing to do. I've also had seasonal depression in the past. So, I'm kind of in need of some advice. When things like this come out of the blue its scares me to the bone.

@@anxietycentre I have OCD, I think. I'll think of something and it wont go away. Out of the blue I'll think or read about an anxiety symptom and I will notice it and it causes me to focus on this stupid little thought a the negative feelings it causes. It's been a week and finally after my 2 day long confusing episode my heart quit beating hard. I never thought I had anxiety or depression but I do know I'm OCD. My methadone medication has side effect of OCD and anxiety but I thought it was minor. Theres also music in my head all the time that sometimes, eventhough people think its strange, I sing, hum or whistle without thinking about it. I went to your page. I'm working poor with no money for healthcare servicer or insurance. I don't want to think I'm going crazy. My dad spent the last 4 years of his life in a state of dementia and some unknown psychosis sleeping on the street and tormenting everyone. Embarrassing :( It runs in the family.

@@anxietycentre thank you Jim I've been following anxiety center for years.. I love your Skype. And Ioved listening to your testimonial.... I've been suffering with anxiety since 9.. Childhood filled with abandonment.. Health anxiety is the worse.. Been dealing with the dizziness for a few years but it got horrible when covid hit and I couldn't get into nursing home to take care of my mother.. I finally decided to hook up with one of your therapist Chris.. My appointment is next month. I wish you were still counseling. I love listening to your voice it's so calming..I'm so nervous about talking to a therapist.. I do believe in the mind body connection and surpressed emotions from childhood..cause mine started at 9.. My problem is trust.. Do you think therapy with Chris will really pull alot of my deep issues and deep seated fears from childhood out? I pray everyday.. But feel so abandoned.. God bless you for all you do..

All the symptoms you mentioned are common stress symptoms, including anxiety-caused stress. However, worrying about them will just keep your stress elevated, causing symptoms to persist. I recommend therapy because an experienced therapist can help you understand it all better. Then, help you work in the aspects that are making you anxious. It's good to discuss anxiety symptoms with your doctor. Since he said you were fine, anxiety headaches can persist as long as the body is overly stressed. And if you are worrying about your headaches, that worry also stresses the body. So, contain your worry and reduce your body's stress. In time, anxiety headaches will diminish and eventually subside. Good afternoon, I'm from Indonesia, doc. Permission to ask a doctor. I hope he can give you instructions regarding the diagnosis of my complaint 🙏🙏. So sis, I first got this from the doctor when I was having coffee with a friend on an empty stomach at that time, because I'm an active person who socializes and socializes wherever I dare, but when I was drinking coffee and smoking, suddenly my heart suddenly started to get worse. I felt like I was falling, I immediately felt uncomfortable, uncomfortable, immediately I remembered people who had heart attacks, suddenly I panicked and cried because I felt uncomfortable, I was afraid, until I panicked, afraid of heart disease too, until my blood pressure rose 180 at that time, starting from that moment. That's when I started to be afraid of going anywhere, feeling dizzy, afraid of gatherings, afraid of going to the mosque, afraid of having my blood pressure measured, afraid of going for coffee, afraid of going far, afraid of being in crowds. Just when I was planning to go, I was already nervous, starting to get tense, restless, and my mind started making up all kinds of things, afraid of it happening again and afraid of fainting and dying suddenly, in the end I was always lying at home, lazy about meeting people, lazy and not productive anymore, afraid of having a chronic disease, afraid of heart disease, afraid of kidney disease, afraid of dying, my body will be weak, lethargic, have no energy, every time I meet people or chat I immediately become tense, uncontrollably anxious. chaotic mind unfocused. Every day checking the condition of the body, counting the pulse, checking the color of urine and feces, losing weight. Basically, it's tiring to the point of feeling uncomfortable and every day I'm anxious and panicked if there's a strange sensation. If you see symptoms that are similar to a chronic illness, you keep thinking so much that you worry and sleep is disturbed, even at the start I can't sleep until my vision feels strange, like I'm not at one with myself. The feeling is only good when I'm alone and at home. Even though I am an active social person, doc. But I'm not congested, my stomach ache isn't sore and my stomach is fine. Hopefully the doctor can provide enlightenment regarding my complaint 🙏🙏

We see a lot of what you described. Because of your health and medical fears, I recommend connecting with one of our recommended therapists to help you address your anxiety issues. I also suggest becoming a member of our Recovery Support area so you can learn all about anxiety and hyperstimulation and how to overcome them. I think you'd find that information super helpful. Of course, working with an experienced therapist is best. Most people don't overcome anxiety disorder on their own because the issues that drive unhealthy anxiety are invisible to the sufferer. Professional help can help with those and help you make the necessary changes to eliminate unhealthy anxiety and hyperstimulation. That support is invaluable.

I feel like my body gets cold when anxious. My body paralyzes with fear. And for 14 months I feeel insteadu so I’ve been doing balance excersises. They haven’t helped though I’m worried I’m stuck this way… mri’s blood tests all are ok. But they think it’s inner ear thing that I caught a virus or infection, and never went away. I’m so confused does anyone understand what I’m saying ? Going for a walk like I used to scares me and that helped me before it worked for me anxiety….

Hi Maria. Feeling cold is a common anxiety symptom. You can read more about that here: www.anxietycentre.com/anxiety-disorders/symptoms/feel-cold-chilled-anxiety/ You don't have to worry about being stuck. When we address our anxiety issues, they subside and our symptoms disappear. You can read more about anxiety disorder recovery here: www.anxietycentre.com/articles/anxiety-disorder-recovery/

@anxietycentre
@anxietycentre 3 жыл бұрын
You can stop worrying about them when you realize that they aren't harmful, an indication of a serious physical or mental disease, and that you can eliminate them by doing certain things. We only worry about them when we think they are dangerous. Anxiety symptoms aren't dangerous and there's a lot you can do to eliminate them. We explain all of this in the Recovery Support area of our website.

Brain zaps can occur by themselves and everyday. As long as the body is hyperstimulated, it can present symptoms, such as brain zaps. Reducing your stress, increasing rest, and not worrying about them will stop them. But, it takes time for the body to recover from chronic stress. You might also find it helpful to join our Recovery Support area. We explain everything in more detail there.

@anxietycentre
@anxietycentre Жыл бұрын
Yes, I do recommend connecting with one of our recommended therapists because it is the most effective way to overcome anxiety disorder. And yes, they are often booked up. We're trying to solve that by looking for more therapists. However, finding qualified therapists who have an approach we approve of is difficult. That said, we have another option coming. Some of our recommended therapists will be offering group therapy sessions. This will help more people get the help they need and also at a lower cost per person. We'll be announcing that in the upcoming weeks. Currently, Marie Filion has a few openings. You can book with her now using our online appointment form here: www.anxietycentre.com/therapy/appointment/
