I have a whippet, they are the most sweet and gentle dogs, but also so sensitive, they need lots of love and fair handling

He actually goes and hides if I am angry even at the phone, they are sensitive creatures and you cant be harsh with them

i think it's important to desensitize your dog friend to the car sounds, if sounds are an issue. to do this, sit with them in the car with it on, don't have to drive anywhere, just sit there and scroll through your favorite media/read a book for a little and ignore them for a bit. This shows them that you feel safe enough to let your guard down.
