@@JoeVarVeri Oh, I'm familiar with Ronnie Milsap's most famous version in F Major. You're playing in G Major. In that case, on the word "flown", the chord is E minor which is correct for the key you are playing. The chord immediately following this E minor, however, should be an E flat major and not a C Major. Then follows the G Major with a D bass. I play a keyboard so I can transpose the pitch to match your guitar and voice. Perhaps you are playing this song strictly according to Elvis' version. Milsap's sounds more gospel or soulful in harmony with the said E flat major flowing "flown" or "town" in another verse as noted above. This particular chord progression or cadence has the bass line walking down in chromatic fashion to make it sound darker, sadder and more serious. Following the E minor with a C Major makes the harmony sound rather playful, humorous and cheery and less romantic or sentimental. Chromaticism is an essential part of gospel and blues.
