Gardening is trial and error. Keep going guys. You’ll figure it out. It’s good to “follow the sun”, and then plant accordingly. You guys will be successful! I just know it!

@cbass2755 It sure is! Everything is trial and error until you figure out what works best for you. We will eventually get this down to a fine art! No matter what, we are having fun learning and there's nothing like the feeling of growing your own!

Barnyard grass is my biggest problem. I also use cattle panels form my beans, squash and cucumbers. They are really durable.

@johndenoma6397 We feel for you! You have to stay on top of it for sure to keep it out of your garden. We are looking forward to seeing how well the cattle panels work for us this year. They are very durable and can be utilized for so many different things. Good luck with your garden! We hope it brings you a good harvest!

I finally have a great, dry and sunny morning! Yay me…I have been rained on for the past two weeks, and nighttime temps went down to 46. My neighbor told me there was a light frost yesterday morning. I got up at 7:30am, and I didn’t look outside. I was a bit depressed and didn’t want to see my plants that I grew from seeds struggling. But, they look better this morning than they ever did. It’s 9:50 am and I finished watering the grounds, and veggies. I can’t believe I have sun! It’s wonderful! Just wonderful! I’m going to put my legs in that sun and get some vitamin D. I may need to reseed too…idk…

@cbass2755 Oh, that is wonderful!! Glad to hear you've got some sunshine, and your plants are doing well. It's good to get out and enjoy the warmth and definitely get a good dose of vitamin D. We've had to reseed a few things as well. We hope everything goes well for you this season and you get an abundance of harvest!

Oh Miki….that sunflower is so pretty!! I can’t grow them as I have ninja squirrels! They eat it from the roots. Can’t grow them. So I’ll enjoy yours 😍

Yes the grass will suck up the water. Try to do large container garden

@mimisabundantlife That's what I was thinking! It's got to be keeping it from getting to the veggies like it should. We hope to be doing more raised garden areas in the future! 🤞

I container garden. I can’t earth garden anymore. I use Organic Garden-tone and worm castings in my soil along with fish emulsion. Last year my garden veggies were great, but this year with all the rain and cold, idk if I’ll get produce? Time will tell…

@cbass2755 Hubby is wanting to put out some more raised beds to utilize for gardening. We have one right now off our back porch that seems to be doing well. Thanks for letting us know what works for you. We can learn so much from each other! Hopefully you will get some warmer weather soon and have an abundance of produce. Sending you some of our warm weather! 😁

Have you read up on rotating your crops? I don't know anything about it except that I heard you're supposed to or things will stop growing. Surely these days they have a bag of something that will fix that!

@losttribe5130 We have and will be watching closely on everything this season to determine if we need to rotate some things elsewhere. Thank you for the suggestion - we have heard that's something good to do for your garden to help regenerate the soil.

We may let the pigs take it over this winter and let them fertilize and root everything up.
