The Dawn Service at Anzac Cove marks the place where Australians and New Zealanders initially landed, then fought side by side during 1915. Members of the ADF and New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) mount a combined catafalque party, and conduct the service in tribute to the ANZACs who lost their lives.

Ryan lex I see your other reactions on the other peoples posted comments. I think that you have a big (really big) problem with other cultures, don't you? Yesterday it was 25 april and it was the honderth anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli (25 april 1915). Maybe you know nothing about this Battle but I have respect for all the soldiers that died and lying now in my country soil. So go act jealous some place else.

ANZAC Day was commemorated with respect and dignity in London yesterday. The bells of Westminster Cathedral rang fast and loud for a long time after the church service, in the spring sunshine, many other events took place, many uniformed personnel. The Cenotaph war memorial in Whitehall was busy, I paid my own respects there too to our Commonwealth brothers and sisters, to all. Lest we forget. From a Pom.

Dear viewers. My grandfather died in WW1, and my great grandfather protested the war and helped organise a conscription rally in 1917 to oppose the death sentence he expected for more young men. I have made a film of this usually hidden part of history, and would love anyone who cares to watch and appreciate what this war made people give. Australia is a little too obsessed with Gallipoli...that's all they talk about...when several times more were killed on the Western Front for example (and Gallipoli was a total failure)...also The Allies invaded Turkey! Not the other way round....

hmm...the US equivalent of what Australians do with Gallipoli now would be say, the American capitulation in the Philippines in 1942 (when Macarthur ran off like a ferret and left them on corrigedor)...it was a bad loss, just like Gallipoli. I dont really hear much about that campaign though.

Fabian Patrizio General Douglas Macarthur is best known for saying "I will return.", and then actually making it back. Everyone has their own perception on any given situation. I like this Anzac service.

I am sorry, which country came to my country in 1915 with lots of their "friends" and was to bad to defeat only ONE country in gallipoli?
