This tweet was widely criticized as invoking anti-Semitic tropes of Jewish control and manipulation. In 2019, Omar made a comment at a town hall event that "I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is okay for people to push for allegiance to a foreign country." This comment was criticized by some as invoking anti-Semitic tropes of dual loyalty. Regarding the 9/11 attacks, Omar made a comment at a 2019 event for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) that "CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties." This comment generated criticism from some who felt that it minimized the severity of the 9/11 attacks and their impact on the United States.

I don’t know that anyone is immune to self-interest, but I do know that being a good public servant means aligning your self-interest with the welfare of your constituents. If AOC succeeds by making the lives of ordinary people better, then I would argue that we should all help her be successful. You might look at some of her policies as harmful (like the Green New Deal), but I don’t think it’s as radical as you would claim it to be. Regardless, I don’t buy that financial gain is a huge motivator for her. Anyone who wants to travel that route would have a far easier time soliciting lobbyists from the oil and gun industries. On the topic of this video, everything that she said was correct. I don’t see how you could disagree with her.

Please tell me you all see this individual for what she really is? I refuse to believe that a large portion of the population is actually falling for this façade, right? What do you all REALLY think about AOC's motives? Seriously, think about what she's done, what she represents... does she push unity or division? True leaders don't thrive off conflict.. just saying. Please know this: I LOVE supporting and empowering women just as I LOVE supporting and empowering men. I would much rather trust in our elected representatives.. but I am not blind, nor am I ignorant to the facts. There is no greater feeling than selfless service to community.. sadly, this is something AOC knows absolutely NOTHING about. She is a glorified influencer on a government salary. I just wish that politics were different. There is much to say, and according to what I believe..this probably isn't my environment to be in. But I don't like having ill things to say about women. I also don't like getting trashed by my people for trying to meet human kind Halfway. But there is alot to say. I was looking at AOC's original dance video clip and this came up. I don't agree with most of what you say, but your delivery is good. You're a good looking young lady Alex. There's other words to use, but those are more pro. You don't come off like a bouge either. Ill probably get trashed for saying this but it's here. I wish things were different. Life is crazy.
