I never heard a band drop tune their the low E string on their guitars as low as A as early as 1983.

They are in D and yes with the Low E in A

@Damien Zero For damn sure dude, I'm willing to bet Victor Griffin is the first electric guitar player to knock that E (D in this case) string down to A. It's something you'd think Tony Iommi would've thought of doing back in the 70s, despite having to downtune due to his injury of course. Not only was Pentagram a preservation of 71-75 Sabbath sound but really quite progressive towards metal in general which is super cool!
