I remember learning this build order in the web back in 2001 and then beated everyone(who are much older than me) in the local internet cafe.

This will help me to finally beat moderate AI. :D

Thank you for making these. I just got back into playing AoE2 after watching your content for a few years. I was struggling against the moderate HD AI, and after practicing this build order I crushed it!

Here is algorithm for it villager 1 goes for house villager 2 and 3 goes for second house click for fourth villager production scout finds sheep wait until villager comes and house complete. they should finish at same time almost find rest of 5 sheeps while first one is being chopped always keep one sheep at town center rest away put all villagers to chop sheep at max 6 when you get 6 villager next 4 villager produced will go to cut wood when your population get 13/15 you need to build a house 6 on sheep and 4 on wood and more will go for berries 4 on berries and then next villager build house increase lumberjack villager from 4 to 5 now build another new lumberjack and put 2 villager in that when 2 villager gets on lumberjack next villager built house and then complete five on wood once 5 complete 3 villager from sheep go on gold as sheep is finished build farms for villager who complete sheep make 8 farms and extra 2 villager go to berries click on feudal age when feudal age meter is 60 percent start building barracks with one villager. it will finish exactly on completion of feudal age as soon in feudal age build stable and black smith as soon black smith and stable complete you will have 800 food and 200 gold for advancing to castle age but don't upgrade now add 2 new villager for gold upgrade your lumber camp to cut faster as soon 2 villager produced go for castle age build second stable build 2 houses once in castle age start producing knights

You and Dave should do a community game where you both have 3 people on your team's. Then you and Dave both only have a king but you both start with cartography. Then you and Dave are the generals and your 3 team mate have to do what you say. First to kill the other king wins

this is soooo detailed and good i had no idea ive been trying to learn build orders from pro players but this is soooooooooooooooooooooo much better

I feel like it should also teach you how to Drush into a FC+Knights build, so you can at least be aggressive during dark age so you can build, since your opponent should be on the defensive if you are being aggressive.

Hey T90, this was a great video. As a casual player, this info is all you need to go from "total noob" to "competant opponent". More stuff like this would be much appreciated, even if you can only get a B. ;)

It would be hilarious if the AI made a butt ton of monks and pikes in preparation.

ZeroEmpires also did a fast castle build order scenario. Don't know about voobly, but it is on the steam workshop, he recorded the voice himself instead of using text to speech, also, he included building houses in his instructions.

Someone need to release a “fast castle - with enemy raids- strategy” video

I really disagree with the second stable because if you get even a small raid on your wood line can take out enough wood to prevent reseeding the farms. One stable is plenty good.

I think that T90 should make some videos explaining everything AoE 2 has to offer in terms of gameplay. It could start with something simple, like "The basics" (What is AoE, the UI, different starting info, AoE casual and AoE competitive) for new or casual Players, then it could go step-by-step with the Starting Build Order, Planning, Map Exploration(some people like me find difficulties in exploring), Fixing Eco, Countering Units, Switching and Countering Strategies, Civs Counter, Map Control in Late Game. It would be cool, and could help new people entering the competitive scene of the game, and helping the one who already did but need to improve. You could collaborate with SoTL with some videos too

In a real game you can't really pull this off tho unless it's a more closed off map but then FC into 3 tc boom is much better anyways. It's a good start if you are new but I feel like to actually win games on maps like arabia you have to glance quick over the FC and start with the M@A rush, which is imo the easiest and most effective of the rushes

There is also a tutorial like this for fast Castle made by Zeroempires. You should also link that. It is a bit different than this.

I for one would prefer it if you did the voice acting for these scenarios, because sometimes TTS doesn't sound very clear to non-native speakers

Yup, any actual person reading lines would be better than any text-to-speech program. So you should totally do the voice-over work for this like Cicero asked!

Came back to AoE II today with Definitive Edition after a 15 year break! Been watching you for years without saying anything, T90, and absolutely love your stuff. This is a long shot, but is this mod available for DE? It seems like it'd be incredibly helpful for a oldbie-newbie like me! Edit: Just saw the Art of War tab! That looks exactly like what I was looking for. I'll check it out :) Update: The Art of War thing is amazing. I forgot how hard this game is...

I play like a noob but i hust found that i play in similar order but i always have one villager that builds everything, he is just here and whenever i have wood i build houses,barracks,other buildings..

2022 wants to know if this still works on the current version

I never find the 6th and 8th sheep so close to my TC on black forest. Sometimes I just found 4 sheep then go for the bores and find the rest of the sheep in feudal or even castle age, making me using farm early and severely down on wood. Did I do something wrong or it's just RNG? I don't idle my scout very much btw.

I think those learning the build order would enjoy someone actually doing the voice over instead of having a text to speech, so you should do it. Some people do not like the text to speech voice.

You had the res a little ahead of time, is it possible to maybe go 27 vils feudal with this build and get the last res while the stable and blacksmith are building?

After I made 8 knight and upgraded bowsaw and horse collar, nothing happens... Why ?

Man I wish there was a slow-mo option in game so I can practice the actions without always slipping up. It's really hard to remember the order when it's all happening too fast to comprehend and assimilate the strategy.

How do you get the screen to jump to your scout? I know I can do Ctrl + 1 so then when I press 1 it selects my scout but the screen will still stay in the same place.

What's the reason for 5 guys per lumberyard . is it just more efficient so they dont run into eachother ?

chopping wood next to the Town center is actually better than building a lumber camp so early....

Hm, for some reason it doesn't seem so smooth when I do it (steam mod), which probably got updated aswell where I get some downtime on villager production after sending out my villager to lure the boar >.< (like 3 villagers for berries and 4th & 5th I have to wait)

I think it would be more realistic to build walls while doing this. No way you could get away with this in a real Arabia game.
