Attacking from north is a lot easier as their military bases are closer to there. I used to attack from the south and was punished by them gaining higher ground and the narrow gates giving advantage to the Persians' ranged units.

I get attacked by the Russians in the Kipchak camp at about the 7 minute mark, the shah immediately declares that he knew I was going to betray him and attacks as well.

13 is the min the shah notices the spy, go for it before 13th min. pres f11 for timer

mission would be more historically accurate if we had to conquer Rersia first and then Kipchaks and then Rus. gift for shah should be really gift, get killed and robbed to become a casus belli.

No if you wait to long in the original they also turn, the difference I believe is the amount of time. in the original I think it was around 20 minutes while your game it was at 13

My strat for this level is to hide Subotai at the north of the map, sacrifice the northern base, and attack from the south only

Does the shortcut still exist? where we instead of assasinating the shah, we destroy all his castles, kill all his units while his diplomacy is set to us as ally & won't attack :D

In original / hd, it can be done easily 1. Build 2 castles, 1 in north(in Kupchak), and 1 in south. 2. After assassinate the shah, use the castle to defend and attack Rus 3. In the south, convert all their elephants lmfao 4. By the time Rus is defeated, use the elephants against Persia, quite an easy game I must say

Buddy how many times have you played this single campaign to complete it in 31mins? Manh it takes me hours to complete each campaign..while i am doing it for first time..

Monks are the key to taking out Persian war elephants and I don't mean one or two monks. You will need at least 8-10.Edit1: You're right. Mongol monks suck. You might even need a lot more than ten. Thankfully, there's a lot of gold on the map.

stop using monks on elephants use a mix of monks and halberder's or for mongols i think its spearmen!
