I think this might be the case as well. Then, for some reason the counter is bugged so that the value of 0 is assigned to -1, so that you need 4 relics to get 3/3 relics. Basically, the value of the numbers are shifted 1 value towards negative. It's a minor bug, but I'm guessing there's an achievement involved, so getting the achievement before the bug is fixed could be a cool (or rather frustrating) challenge.

@@danielmorton1606 no this is actually a legacy issue present for decades that I just didn't realize. If you receive a Monastery via trigger effect, any relics in it are treated as negative relics. Fortunately, this will be fixed in this scenario.

yeah... lil bit... the whole time I've been like what the hell? if i could just do this, it'd be easy. i just had it, set up 3 kreposts to keep the green at bay, totally destroyed the cyan, had a great economy going and a pretty decent army left over, even after literally everybody joined in when i was fighting the cyan. didn't pay attention to the clock or whatever, and was defeated. for like the 10th time. took a minute to even figure out what was going on, just kept getting defeated and had no idea why.

Its not really challenging, you just set up 2 castles infront of your base and fill them with some archers, there are no trebs so this holds the enemies for ages, you just need to remember to send 1 unit every now and then to the wonder to reset the timer

Please consider 200 years is a lot of time. Most of this time enemy has no army there. Just run with a scout to restart the countdown. I managed to do it by walling off the section just south of Tarnovo, putting a castle and funnelling the enemy into it. When I gathered army, I rushed the Green (East) and walled off his bridge to the rest of his allies so I could trade. That left me with only 2 opponents and I could either clear or hold the Wonder.

@@Chenla well, they (we) don't have to play in extreme. But also more challenging campaing helps to get better players

@@Essebas the problem is that if you have a campaign mission and allow the extreme AI, you would at least need to test every level is beatable with that AI - there may well be situations where even a perfect players couldn’t win, like if you only get given a set number of units and the enemy produces way too many units and the counter of yours. Another issue is that some AIs in campaigns don’t actually use normal AI to operate, instead being told exactly what they should produce and at what rate etc. Adding additional difficulties would mean they need to add in additional rates and again test that the campaigns are winnable & at about the right difficulty.

Maybe he was hoping since the skirmish AI now has a higher level, that you'd get a new level for the campaigns too. Besides, in the original aoe2, there was a hardest option for campaigns.

@@hardnrg8000 I played plenty of mods and custom campaigns, you can increase the AI difficulty by other things instead of adding another difficulty level. Like having the AI at least half sufficient, what I can see in this mission all of it is scripted so I guess the difficulty just changes number of units present.

They don't look like brand new, the damages are there but the fire animations do snuff out. Which is imo a good way of telling that the structure is now basically dead although it stands, so you can start reacting on moving on right away to next most important targets instead of letting them just autoattack pointless targets that are next closest to them if you didn't have time to keep watching the health bar of said building all the time while focusing on microing other stuff around, the fire suddenly snuffing out sticks quicker to the eye at the corner of your screen. Sometimes, precious seconds can be important.

I guess the first mission ends up in having to kill green anyways after yellow is dealt with, so I'd say no. But I'm only guessing.

@@hardnrg8000 cause the upgrade doesnt make senes,realistically you dont train horse to do trample damage.Catas(heavily armoured horse and rider)would charge through infantry,smashing anyting in the way
