Yeah, there's a hell of a truth to that lol. And if you are bailed out with like 3 villages and 2 spearmen building a fresh TC, then you're like "ok great. So here we are. The next 30 minutes rebooming, then what? Should I sling? Should I try and get up to imp? Should I go full castle?". All the while mammoth battles are being fought in distant lands, fully upgraded Persian elephants and mangoni trying to push Korean siege onagers and samurai tucked between 40 castles. Basically you are the teams cheerleader at that point, worthless tactically, but still giving moral support from them seeing you are still in the game.

@@josephstevens5489 Lol had this happen. Was playing as huns. Got stuck between 3 enemy players on a 4v4 (bad tc placement, had lots of food though). Got rushed in castle but had to spend most of game rebuilding. Didn't quite, cause I had faith. But, we lost in end.

Once I was sandwiched between 3 players in a nomad 4v4 and needless to say I was obliterated. I tried a mass exodus by boat, but fires caught my 3 ships full of vills and sank them. I was helpless: no vills, no military buildings except for a dock and no market, so I didn't even had carto lol. Anyways, I decided to use my 10 pop space to get some galleys with resources sent to me from an ally and started raiding random vills near the shoreline. Eventually the galleys died and so did my houses so I couldn't do literally anything else except for looking at the score. My team won at the end somehow, looks like I distracted them long enough at the start for them to boom and somehow I wasn't defeated because I still had A dock, nothing else.

@@mcclanec1417 I want the same to happen, but only escaping with a monk in a transport ship. Imagine the prep talk he'd be giving himself as he nervously sails an enemy coastline, looking for some miners away from their base to convert, hoping the navy doesn't catch him. On the surface he looks calm and ready but there's vomit on his relic already, God's spaghetti.

Hoang is deceivingly good at adapting and his strat is super deadly. There’s a reason he’s reached top 50 in rated 1v1s (2k3)

@@tantegreta militia only decision for whom? Hoang was in dark age so he couldn't make MaA and he looked to go knights with his slow castle. Noburu probably didn't realise that the upgrades he got for his vills were actually meant for the likes of MaA and going into them would've helped him get his vills for eco rather than military. I wonder if hoang could've stayed Feudal and flooded Magyar MaA with another barracks.

Magyar MaA I would be interested in that, too, but then it was probably better to leapfrog and go knights, especially against those towers and the weak militia at first

Also stupid question, but it felt like eagles were not a good strat here, they died to easily. Pikes might have saved the day, but he probably didnt have enough wood to sustain that

Ya, I guess hoang would've thought about MaA but was afraid that they wouldn't be so good against Inca vills. I feel that he could've won with great numbers of them and far sooner had he invested the 800f+200g in MaA instead of castle

No it's just the nature of KZfaq, not a whole lot of input from a channel can change that. Channels thinking they have more power than they actually do to change it is what leads to all that KZfaqr burnout. Quality content is always good but they're at the mercy of the algorithm

@niki Only if it stays as a villager. As soon as you task it, it will revert to your civs current Vil stats since they technically replace a unit when it goes from Villager to Builder etc. Spirit of the Law has a more in depth video about conversions and units, worth a watch. Part 2 about 2:30 in
