You can que up vills when the timer in the top is at 9 sec. The timer on the left is at 4sec when the middle timer is at 15 sec so you can start to que at -2 sec on the timer on the left, so he had 1 aditional second of idle time

I think the same, I think this could happen in William Wallace too if you just advance more quickly than the tutorial expects.

@@AgentLokVokun Shame on the community then if they can't stand literally any changes. It's quite similar to both AoE2 and 3, and strikes a pretty good balance from my experience in the beta.

​@@user-ez9ng2rw9c I never played age 3, many years with aoe 2 from the beginning and probably many years in the future too but if aoe 3 is similar to aoe 4, that game seems pretty interesting to try too, unfortunately I am in a stage of my life where the free time is very limited, so, now I can only split time between aoe 2 DE and aoe 4, but most in aoe 4, as I really like this game

I agree. I contributed to several posts on the forums about those exact issues too. The UI and game feedback were my biggest complaints, and it's very disappointing that they are going to keep some of those poor decisions.

He mentioned how he thought it was strange some of the villagers didn't respond. It looks a bit better than the beta to me but still pretty bad lag.

yeah. I love to see mindless busywork like not getting housed being reduced, but i don't like realistic and interesting features like decaying meat getting removed

​@@bigsmoke4592 It's not just that, there's a whole list of issues I have with it. So let me just get it off my chest. How about the fact that they've removed the ability to quick wall? Or how you no longer have to lure deer to your tc, because you can now kill them with your scout and carry them to your tc instead? Or how about the fact that you don't even have to place farms anymore, because the tc will place them for you, and they don't even run out so you don't have to refresh them? And did you think it was hard to micro your fire ships and send them back to be repaired by a villager? No worries, now every ship will automatically heal when they're nearby one of your docks. Regarding the fighting mechanics, they've practically removed 90% of the micro, since the fights have become really slow and visually chaotic. I mean, just look at how spearmen and swordsmen fight. They just very slowly move their weapon forwards, backwards, to the sides and once in a while the hp of the enemy unit just... goes down a bit. There is NO clear indication of a unit attacking or hitting an enemy. Or how about the fact that infantry and cavalry can take down most buildings in a few seconds because they can somehow throw molotovs at them? I guess siege isn't that important anymore. And again, there is often no clear indication for hits landed on those buildings, especially when in groups, making micro impossible and redundant. On top of that, the game isn't exactly balanced. For certain civs it's literally impossible to win water fights, because their warships are literally 4 times weaker than a different type of warship only a few civs can make. But at least there are big differences between the civs now, aren't there? Well, yes and no. There ARE clear differences, but those mainly consist of very gimmicky mechanics that don't seem to add much to the game and often just unbalance things. Huge differences between units remain to be seen, though. I feel like the devs just made an incredibly dumbed down version of AoE2. They spent a lot of their time on unnecessary and confusing graphics like the flickering of workers around trebs just before they shoot. It's almost as if they try to tell us: "Don't worry, the treb isn't shooting on its own. Look at the people flickering around it once a while for a split second. See? We fixed an otherwise unrealistic thing. Good for us!" But meanwhile the cav archers are just sitting their in their saddles not doing anything while the only indication for the guy shooting his bow is the horse ramping. Apparently the horse shoots arrows by standing on its rear legs. It's just ridiculous, man. Meanwhile every unit looks the same, except for a bowman having a white bow in his hand and a swordsman holding a white sword. Other than that, the units just seem... smooth and bare with no discerning characteristics. I know I'm hating a lot on the game right now, but there are barely any good things for me to say about it. And I haven't even started talking about the horrible, horrible HUD they've made with the most boring and obscure icons. The way the game is right now, it will NEVER become anything close to competitive.

@@darkaquatus The thing is, it's not aoe2 it's aoe4.If something is not like aoe2 doesn't mean it will not be competitive... Aoe4 civs have wayyyyy more macro than aoe2 and each civ is different...Not to mention aoe4 is historically accurate.
