I played a lot of Cossacks years ago, and quite a few of these skins hit the nostalgia part of my brain. I especially love the Tercio, who ditched the more 'goofy' look for the more 'Conquistador' style

I'm so unbelievably happy that all the Civ gets unit distinctive design for their units made me the most happy in my life. My jaw was on the floor and couldn't speak. As explorers skin, they miss the chance of doing Charles The XII. I'm not hating Thor being there, but I'm not a big fan of the previous choice for their explorer. Whoever her name is.

Wow man that's the Changes I want the most in AGE III, Unique Costumes and Changes even in minor to European Units. I make a discussion about that and send to AOE III developers. It mades a huge change to the game and thanks to the developers and our wishes for that.

I love the direction they took Portugal's unique look. They look like guerillas straight out of the Peninsular War against Napoleonic france. It even fits how fucking annoying it is fighting against kiting jinetes.

Really glad they're still updating this game. I know this'll be a hot take, but it's my favorite one! I do miss the medieval ages but the amount of diversity and flavor to each of the different civilizations make each of them feel incredibly unique in Age 3. Super excited for Age of Mythology Retold!

Zweihanders do get a new skin, but only from guard and up. it adds a fancy cloak with an Imperial eagle.

I love the emphasis on them diversifying the roster's of the base civs.

Will definitely check out your other vids, you got yourself a subscriber! E: I personally really like the Dutch Blue Guards. They look incredible. And yeah the new Voltigeurs and Needle Gunners look a lot more professional, old Skirms look sorta weird alongside the professional Musks, they're very much based on guerrillas and militias and idk. The new French and German skirms look soo much better. What I'd like is for them to also have unique icons too. Give us the Pickelhaube in an icon! It'd look great! Also the Maltese Commandery units (ie the Order Hussar) should have unique models too, sort of to remind you these aren't normal Hussars, these guys are Knights of St John. At least a Cross in their clothes. It would do a lot

06/15 UPDATE: Some extra aesthetic things have been added to the game today, which are pretty cool! 1. Icons have been added to the game for many of the unique explorers. A very welcome development indeed! 2. The Roman Explorer has been given Latin voicelines! He uses voicelines from the Return of Rome's AoE2 Roman civilization now. I had put out a mod a couple of weeks ago addressing this myself, called the Classical Latin Voice Lines for the Roman Explorer mod. I'm really glad they made this change, it makes the Roman explorer much more satisfying (But, since I put all the work into that mod and frankly, I think my own voice lines are more comprehensive and better capture classical Latin pronunciation, I'm going to keep the mod up and rename it to the Better Classical Latin for the Roman Explorer). 3. The Hussar Devotchka explorer for the Russians has been removed and replaced with a skin called Mila the Bear. Yes, it's a giant Bear in a pink skirt. :p I'm guessing the devs are having fun with us. TBD on which one (or both?) will actually release with the patch. Also, I forgot to showcase the Italian Pavisier, but they do get a unique skin as well after researching Guard Pavisier. Furthermore, the Doppelsoldner/Zweihander DOES get an extra cosmetic feature once the Guard technology and the Zweihander technology in the church have been researched. An Austrian imperial Eagle is emblazoned on the cape of the unit, and some extra gold flourishes are added to the armor. Thanks @PenguNL for the heads-up on that one!

I like all these skin updates, it gives more uniqueness to European units.

I think they should implement this two colours scheme as they have done for British redcoat to the entire game. Your team color should be the accent colour instead the dominant one. Adds a lot of depth to the units.

wow, this dutch change makes that if you can make more stradiots in the bar are even better vs infantry, those will destroy infantry with ease edit: ok, I hope the Thor explorer throws normal lightning when it shoots, and the special hability (both vs guardians and most units) being him throwing his hammer, that would be awesome and hilarious also, does the special european upgrades affect new mercenaries units? Let me know if you agree, but one thing that always bothered me about AOE 3 was the incongruity of the archaic units with the more modern units, almost like the Pikeman, Archers, halbardiers should be pushed back an age to Exploration. This would remedy the fact that AOE 3 is the only AOE to really have no military units in the first age (militia aside)

I'm still play in AOE3 DE, with more skins are better. I want AOE2 too for future Public Updates like regional unit skins, unique castle for all civilizations, more unique units, best balancing and more.

They could have gone with the Pskov Dragoons for the Russian church dragoons. The Pskovskiy Dragoons were a significant dragoon regiment during the Napoleonic Wars.

i hope they are making a new DLC i totally wish to have a south america DLC with the Great Colombia, Argentina and Brazil as playable civs and not just revolutions, those factions may use the Federal Card mechanic like USA and Mexicans, and perhaps some peculiar revolution mechanic in a similar fashion to mexicans but maybe done in a different Way.

I have waited since October 2020 to get a Qing dynasty cap on my Chinese explorer, and it's on a girl....I can live with it, but I'd prefer it to literally by that Qing dynasty official you see walking around the home city, the historically accurate Qing official. I'd pay 20 bucks for JUST that visual.
