If you can get them going, meinwerk into reignitz instead of burger palace, then landsknecht and knights combo absolutely shreds melee balls. Especially with the zornhau upgrade for landsknecht.

@@jarlwilliam9932 I doubt that 25 landsknechte + 25 gilded knights would beat 100 royal knights. They are supposed to be a brute force civ ,but their abysmal pop efficiency throws that in the trash can. Also, the Zornhau upgrade is sadly literally the only fun unique upgrade the OotD has.

While many of the new units are fun, this DLC is a classic example of a pay2win DLC ... which also explains it success, those who do not buy it will fall behind in competitive ... imagine a HRE main without the DLC ... and man the new bombard is toxic for the game itself ...

so far from what I've seen, the old civs demolish the new civs except sushi legacy. So if anything it's pay2lose. Also why would you expect an expansion to be free? It's a game with no microtransactions...
