AOKIGAHARA The Most Haunted Forest In The World DEMON CAUGHT ON CAMERA | JAPAN (BANNED VIDEO)

In the year 864, Mount Fuji erupted violently for six months, resulting in the burial of entire villages under a massive field of hardened lava. Over the course of a millennium, a dense forest grew upon this lava field, casting its shadow on the snow-capped volcano. Officially known as Aokigahara, but commonly referred to as jukai, meaning "sea of trees," this forest became a popular hiking destination a few hours away from Tokyo in the Yamanashi prefecture. However, not everyone ventured there for the fresh air and breathtaking views. Aokigahara held a darker allure, for it had gained a dark reputation in being the most haunted forest in the world.
But how did this serene and picturesque forest at the base of Mount Fuji become so intertwined with deaths?
One theory dates back centuries to a morbid practice carried out by certain Buddhist monk sects.
In Japan, Mount Fuji and its surrounding forests, including Aokigahara, are considered sacred spaces. For more than a millennium, ascetic Buddhist monks would retreat to these forests to engage in extreme forms of self-denial and meditation that eventually led to their deaths.
According to a particular tradition, these monks would meditate in the forest for 1,000 days, subsisting solely on leaves and bark. Afterward, they would willingly be "buried alive" to continue their meditation in underground crypts. Their ultimate aim was to transform their bodies into sokushinbutsu, a type of mummy, while still alive. Although 18 of these "self-mummified" monks' remains are displayed in parts of Japan, scientists believe they were actually mummified after their deaths.
Aokigahara's prominence in popular culture played a significant role in its association. In 1960, Japanese author Seicho Matsumoto published a short story called "Tower of Waves," revolving around star-crossed lovers separated by circumstances beyond their control.
However, the book that truly propelled the "Aokigahra forest" to fame was published in the 1990s. Author Wataru Tsurumi wrote a manual an unadorned guide. "Undoubtedly, the book generated significant controversy "It even included a section about Aokigahara forest, describing it as 'the perfect place".
Apart from the historical accounts and myths, it is believed that there exists a gate to hell and a demonic entity within the Aokigahara forest. According to Japanese popular belief, if someone dies while consumed by deep feelings of hatred, anger, sadness, or a desire for revenge, their soul becomes trapped in this world and continues to wander. These souls, known as yurei, appear to those affected by the curse or who cross their path. Yurei are also depicted in various modern cultural references, including movies.
Some Japanese spiritualists suggest that the trees in the haunted forest have absorbed malevolent energy over the course of centuries.

Guys, when you are talking to spirits, try not to scream and jump every time you hear or see a response from a device. You are changing your energy and the energy of the space if you do. Also, stop asking so many questions at the same time, wait in between.... give time for them to answer.

Every show I've ever seen they do this with their questions and it make me wanna bop them on the head! How could anyone, living or dead, answer questions like that? Maybe wait *at least* a couple of seconds for a response first..And yeah that jumping and yeling when they get an answer does contaminate the energy.. how do you know you're not picking up your own energy instead of the spirits. Also one thing I haven't noticed which I would sugest, is people providing a large charged battery for the spirits to use, in the room so they will leave the lights and devices alone.

That’s one of the 丸金石碑(Marugane Monuments) in Aokigahara Jukai, aka Suicide Forest. I did a quick Google search and found out that these stones are actually guideposts for ascetic monks who walk through the sea of trees. They were crafted by Marukin-ko, a religious group devoted to worshipping Mt. Fuji and its divine spirits. The top two characters are the letter 金 enclosed in a circle and the letter 詣, translating to 'Marukin pilgrimage'. On the right side, it reads 右ぎやうば, meaning 'the practice places are on the right'. On the left side, it reads 左なるさわ, meaning 'Narusawa villages are on the left' And on the far left, it reads 明治丗丁酉年二月廿日建之, which translates to 'Constructed on February 20, 1897'.

As a student of ecology I had trouble believing the forest was uninhabited by animals. With a quick search you'll find articles that explain the wide diversity of animal life in the forest, including bears, deer, and boar being among the largest of the mammals.

What really caught my attention about this place was it’s nickname “Sea of Trees”, than I understood why they call that way. Its impressive to be surrounded by so many trees, plus rocks, roots and branches covered in green moss made me feel I was inside a fairy tale. But with sadness history. In Aokigihara, you can see positive messages strewn along the path and left behind trail markers. They remind people that life is precious. They exist to provide one last bit of hope, one last ray of light. The authors hope to reach those wandering in who never planned to wander out. My hands get so cold when i type this comment! This is great work! The video got me very excited. It is very mysterious. This place are very huge. Life is unique and brilliant! To live, to create and enjoy life. Ba safe !

Definitely some interesting captures here, as would be expected of Aokigahara. One thing that I felt a bit skeptical about was the SLS camera picking up that green wireframe when aimed into the woods, because it looked to me like the camera was trying to force a humanoid shape out of the small tree, since it happened on that same spot multiple times and in the same general pattern. That camera type is supposed to find things that are humanoid in shape, but I think it might misinterpret data as well. Not sure if you have more footage from a different angle, or if it could otherwise be debunked or not. Still, good stuff!

Hi, Steve! 1st time watcher, now, forever fan! Can't remember the time stamp, but when you showed the bouquet of flowers by the tree, it looks like the tree grew around a body. My husband and I can see feet with leafy growth around them. Also, around 40 minutes (about that time), listen closely and you should hear a moan or something like that. It sounds really paranormal! Centuries of death, many sad ,lonely, and many taking their own lives, maybe by hanging, strangling, on the trees. If there is evil there possible it fed on the sadness of the lost or dying. To add some explanation to why there are "blue lights" near the forest parking or some other spots in Japan, its seems they started installing blue lights back in 2005 in Nara to prevent suicide / crime and went nationwide since then. There are lots of article about this too, try searching 'why do blue lights reduce crime' or '青色の街灯'

Great video! I just wanted to offer a few observations. First, the acoustics there are wild! No echo that you would expect, it's so muted because of all of the sound absorption, even as a viewer, it was unlike anything I've ever heard in a forested area. 25:45 - when you're exploring that little hollow / cave - to the left in the shot is a perfectly vertical stick that looks like it was placed there some time ago, perhaps to lift the root in order to keep it stable when the person went inside. 42:30 - did anyone else hear that sound? It sounded like some sort of animal and it was pretty loud. I'm surprised no one commented on these things. Either way I loved that you touched on the history of the forest, and your video was very well done. New sub.

One suggestion though- could you please not all talk on top of each other at once, and perhaps give the entities some time to actually respond before the next guy is yelling out the next thing? Honestly, if it's a demon, it should be able to understand all languages. I don't see why they wouldn't be able to know them all.

I disagree. An other worldly entity would know all languages. if anything it would prove it's not human but rather a demon of some kind.

The blue lights...It all started in the late 2000s, when a number of Japanese railway companies began installing blue lamps above train station platforms. It was an attempt to deter people from suicide in such places - a so-called “nudge” technique. Nudge techniques are ways of influencing behaviour that, although apparently subtle, can have surprisingly large impacts.

There is a saying in my culture that if the other side wants your spirit, it will cause you to hallucinate to think you are going the right path, but only for you to keep circling until you wind up on the other side and to the point of no return. You guys are really lucky to have this entity to protect yall. I really believe there are some spirits out there who still linger around and protect the living from the evil spirits.
