Truth be told I wasn't to much of the cartoonish looking style, but after actually playing the game I love it, it looks so good and beautiful, am glad that our game got a modern reimagined version of our beloved game from way back in the day, and this time we will be getting continuous support and updates for it :) I'm glad the company decided to revive age of mythology and actually stuck to their word and continued working on it, unlike most other games that companies have said they've been working on it but sadly hasn't come to light

It's based on the AoE3:DE Engine, which I think looks great. IMO, it looks the best even compared to AoE4. Great game to play if you haven't played it, btw (AoE3:DE).

Favourite civ is Egypt overall, promotes synergy, and you go from using weaker but cheaper troops to very premium but costly troops, and then those cheaper units again but hyperbuffed with upgrades where they overwhelm other civs. Atlanteans are always a fav too, though their titan worshipping, proto romam design is a little jarring, even after all these years. Their myth units are usually more fun, though wildly different in power level.

Thor was my favourite. I liked his late game armour that makes your infantry into beasts late game. I also like Loki but his Myth units aren't very viable(giants) because high population costs. Chinese was my second favourite. their myth units were fun to use. the faction was overpowered overall but i wish more of myth units were viable to the level of Chinese.

sometimes i don't get online play just built hoplites and win the game they just kept building horses

Horses have a mobility advantage, so they can run away and just search for villagers to kill (or pick good fights if the Hoplites split up to catch the horses). Hoplites themselves are a lot worse at raiding, so they dont have the same offensive potential as horses. The second thing is: The player with horses can switch to other units once he sees a lot of Hoplites beeing made. I'm not saying going for Hoplites is bad, but it's far away from being a free win - and since it's not a free win, high level player usually prefer to have mobility and therefore initiative in the game.

En este juego si Hades iba caballería era obvio que iba a perder contra Hermes y Dionisio, teniendo a atenea era mejor ir hoplitas , está claro que los hoplitas no son buenos en incursiones, ellos defienden o atacan objetivos y defender su mina era lo más importante.

You should expect cav to beused a lot cause its good for raiding ,specially when atlanteans come out as they got a ranged cav unit early on.

AoE2 has no auto queue at all. So I believe Capoch chooses not to use it in order because of his muscle memory. At least I would forget to queue vills when I would go back to play AoE2 from AoM.

The guy was Hades. Hades has no type of bonuses or gods to favor cavalry. He should've gone Cyclops and focused on archers and hoplites. He also should've upgraded his towers and got crenallations to fend off enemy cavalry. That was just shitty playing on his part.

Each civ has a spear with varying costs and power. Greeka have the hoplite, powerful, expensive, population efficient

i think the meta is just going to be rushing big nuking spells. rush earthquake, rush Metoer. rush that wolf godpower from Norse, rush Tatarus gate on Altatians. you get 1 usage of this spell and it cripples your opponent then you generate favor to use it again. it is probably over. Norse look like weakest faction in this mode because their god powers are weak/supportive. Their tier 1 god power is destroying walls, a healing fountain or forest fire. Fountain is ok but not game-changing. Tier 2 is flame weapons, summon treants or Ice aura. Flame weapons is their only good god power and than tier 4 god power are wolf, the dwarf power which destroys your economy by turning everything into heroes and summon flying dragon. wolf power is ok but rest are pointless.
