My 13 year old is due for a replacement of her aortic valve; due to leak and stenosis. Doctor told me about this replacement option and The Ross. I'm leaning more into the Ross for the long term, but the whole situation is very scary...

I read AB blood type confers a greater chance of clots and type O is resistant to clots. Does that info. get incorporated into risk calculations when make a choice between bio vs mechanical replacement valves?
