Many will think that the AP concept is just too crazy for them. I fell that maybe it's just way ahead of its time! That's why they call it a CONCEPT.
When AP released this model in 2002 or 20 years ago they really wanted to push the envelope of cutting edge. They wanted something that was so ahead of it's time that even today 20 years later it still has trouble fitting in at times. In this review I will go over some of the things that I feel are important to know about the AP Concept Flying Tourbillion GMT!

Eric, thanks for your review. AP concept always top of the line and very innovative on material, design and features. May I suggest you to consider review Code 11.59 too? Frankly, I hardly find the distinguish features that can standout from the luxury watch market. Look forward to your next review.

Any watch AP makes and creates, is above and beyond any Haute Horology Watchmaker in the World! That’s including, Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantine, and the infamous Richard Mille! AP is the Greatest Watchmaker!

Naa it’s just a watch that AP made a bunch of guys get to be able to get a Royal Oak or offshore, now they are wanting to sell these code pieces people mainly dealers are tryna drum up false hype around them

Agree with you, it's a great piece and if it wasn't this big it'd most likely command even higher premiums on the secondary I always liked the concepts for what they are, even if a few design choices didn't sit right with me, they are after all small-batch experiments similar to halo cars (which barely exist anymore) if you had to pick one, which of the AP concepts would it be ?

I'd take those Omega's over this, and this reminds too much of those Lindi Spider thingies. The whole RO line is "Off" as they're not even dive watches, it's like someone saying it's a porthole in a submarine, just illogical and in the bad way.

@@tomasinacovell4293 yes, the water resistance is hideous by today's standards, it was such a low hanging fruit to improve it to at least 100m for the 50th anniversary, but that's AP - as with this concept they just do their thing

Hi good video. AP and other watch makers need to innovate and I encourage that. APRO nauti Daytona - same watches for 50 years! I welcome the innovation even though you won’t catch me dead with this watch on

Nice AP but….. what’s going on with watch prices lately? It’s has gone crazy high … for a example IF I had £250k there’s no doubt in my mind that would be enough to sort my life out plus my 2 kids life. @@FeelingPeculiar I had something like OMEGA SM AT 150M UL 8928 in mind, it's much more of a traditional straightforward innovation, not a clutter or a deskclock. And I'm not even a fan of titanium watches, and hand-winding watches that last a week is still going to be harder to remember to wind. LOL

Yes - 100% Agree - AP pushing limits beyond the same Royal Oak hype collectors have been pawing over for 50 years. I wish AP would retire the Royal Oak and push the Concepts to more affordable pieces. The would redefine the brand and put RM, and VC on the ropes.

It is a lot of bang for your buck if you compare it to the market prices of hot sports pieces. You’re getting a rare watch from AP with a flying tourbillon for less than what a steel Patek 5990 costs.
