I purchased the new release and was so excited to finally be able to get Honey Cake for a reasonable price. Unfortunately I found that the round JSK was not flattering, I knew it was going to fit a tad big but thought I'd be able to cinch the waist in with the waist ties and be fine. But the round bodice would have a gaping issue if I moved my hands up, forward, or that sort of thing. Thankfully I was able to find someone selling the old switching JSK, sold my new version, and bought that. The listing came with the old bag too, so I went ahead and sold my new bag since I wouldn't need it anymore. Now I wish I had kept the new bag and sold the old bag from the listing... It's in great condition as the seller never used it, but if the pleather in the new one is nicer it would have been better to have... I have peeling issues with some of my bags too and it's so annoying. You spend so much money on AP bags and I feel it's just inevitable. I wonder why it is, I have some bags I've purchased from places like Hot Topic that are pretty old too and I haven't seen peeling on those yet. I wonder what the difference in material is. I like that shiny plasticy material they use, I have a star bag and a heart bag with it and I know it won't peel because of the material type. It's not matte and I don't think everyone would like it because of that, but it's more sturdy.

Ohh didnt know they made the new one polyester! As much as I love synthetic stuff i don't feel like it should cost as much as cotton dress. I feel like the colors will last longer yet the fabric is much easier to rip compared to cotton

I prefer the old release for the cotton and for the OP and skirt cuts!! I bought the new cafe skirt cut, and it just didn't look right on me as someone with a not insignificant bust. I ended up selling it without even wearing it out once. The original skirt doesnt have that problem though! And the new release didn't include the OP at all sadly.

I have the op in pink & have the MTO ivory. I prefer the old release since I feel cotton is what I’m used to from AP (or that’s what I’m used to from my ideal ott sweet era). I have the original bag & mine is the same way; it makes me sad :c I have some other AP bags that are that way also.

Got an original mint one, and just had to get a new one in my dream ivory color. Was disappointed with the fabric change of the new one when I opened the package. Wanted it to be the same fabric as the old one. I also think the new one doesn't have as full of a skirt.

I think I actually like the newer one better. I am so excited to finally have a chance to get one of my dream dresses! I want the round Honey Cake JSK in yellow or mint. If anything, I could sew a bit of tulle crinoline onto the lining if I really wanted.

5:30 Wait, is it full shirring? I thought it was half shirring. I liked the front being flat.

For anyone else that has the bags, does the pleather peel for the original or new versions?

At 2:36, it kind of looks like the one on the left has a diagonal weave or pattern through it, but the one on the right looks smoother.

Honey cake in yellow is the only angelic pretty dress that I seriously desire! Hopefully in a year or two I’ll be able to buy it for less than $600 😂😂 Also I love how informative all of your videos are 👌🏾👌🏾
