Alec Baldwin’s involuntary manslaughter trial is on hold while the judge considers a defense motion to dismiss the case over disputed ammunition. Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was shot and killed by live ammo in what was supposed to be a prop gun on the set of the film “Rust” in 2021. Read more: bit.ly/4bHFdt5

He is guilty he admitted more than once he pulled the trigger openly and publicly he is guilty he is also responsible to check the weapon and clearly did not.

The rule on set was: The armorer is to check the weapon WITH the actor. Both must be satisfied that he weapon is loaded with the correct ammo. The breach is closed and is not to be opened by the actor. It's pretty simple.

I've never understood why he was charged and not the armorer or the prop mfg. I can't believe there was such a mob hate against him. Was he negligent on the set with the gun yes, did he know that there was live rounds, absolutely not. We feel terrible for Halyna Hutchins (may her RiP) and her family/friends however this was an accident and the armorer didn't do her job and was completely negligent and the prop mfg was absolutely negligent of the highest means. Alec go and get some rest and find your inner peace. We will pray for Halyna's family of course as well.

He knew that gun and it's function. He should have checked it before using it. He is a member of a gun club and knows ammo. But, I think it was the armorer's fault for allowing live rounds on set. I blame the producers and Baldwin for this result. Do I think Baldwin deserves more than a 6 month sentance? Yes! I think 2 years is more appropriate. -Perhaps 4 or 5.

I've always thought Alex would get off scott free. I live in NM and see what corrupt judges have done here, wouldn't be surprised if the judge got paid off.
