In this video, I break down our must-have vs. nice-to-have list, our budget, the number of places we looked at, and more. Great video! Toronto’s cost of living is insane rn everyone is struggling fr. Anyways, i totally feel you when you said the apartment needed an in suite laundry. I say this as someone who has been using coin laundries for years 😅 haha Anyways I hope your channel continues to grow, keep up the good work!

Girl I need to know where you were looking and got these prices lol Husband and I live in the north york area and hoping to upgrade next year and we pay 1,900 for a 1 bedroom. Also love the mic on the spoon.

I totally RELATE! It's so emotionally and physically draining. My best advice would be to get a realtor to help you out if you can! it made the process a little faster and more streamlined for us. I hope you find your dream apartment soon

I feel beyond lucky. 59 years old and have always been a home owner. I would sell and move to Central America before going through this bullshit...Which is exactly what i will be doing in a couple of years. Thank you Canada Post for 38 years of service....Goodbye Canada.

What year was this filmed in? Rent seems cheap (even though it’s not)

It was filmed this year lol winter/spring 2024. It might seem cheaper because none of these apartments were in downtown Toronto they were in the GTA

@@ravennitisiyihkason that's a very huuuuuuge vague answer... I'm currently paying CAD 2550 or 1bed 1 den in downtown. WiFi included but everything else is payable. Video in my channel =P

@@nielgoh not sure how it’s a vague answer? I answered the question lol. I said in the video that none of these apartments were in downtown Toronto I said they were in the GTA. All listing prices were from winter/spring 2024. I didn’t say specific areas to protect my privacy. Hope that clears things up 😊

Damn you had to compete with many others even when it’s the winter season? This makes me terrified cus I’m about to move there this August “the peak season”. Looks like I might be homeless 🥲

Yes we were competing with other applicants😭 The apartment we chose had like 4 other applicants after us. If we didn’t sign the lease within 24 hours they were going to give it away💀 you will find your perfect place tho! There will also be more available in august than in winter. Good luck 💗
