Hey loves, here’s a CORRECTION to the video: I have been miscalling my Syngoniums CALADIUMS all this time and no one has corrected me until now. 😭 I’ve owned actual caladiums in the past and it seems I’ve mixed up the two due to their similar foliage, but after some additional research, they are indeed very different! To everyone who let me know, thank you for the correction! I definitely have some more learning to do in this journey of mine. I hope ya’ll are enjoying the video though! 😅❤

Also syngoniums do climb! I have an albo who has thrived on its coir pole. Not even rooted in to moss. The leaves got small as soon as it was not wrapped up. And it’s in quite bright light to promote the variegation. So I think they can hack it. But yea so easy to propagate and they bounce back from neglect great. And your philodendron might be a “prince of orange” they come in orange and fade to green. I know that there is another orange variety but the “prince of orange” is a little bit more common. It is not a climber and won’t need a pole 😊

Hi, I’m a new viewer to your channel. I have been growing orchids for 20 years and the key to growing orchid is to pant them in an Orchid mix of bark, perlite and charcoal. They sell it at home depot. Orchid naturally grow on trees so they don’t like a heavy medium like soil. I soak mine once a week in water and fertilize when it’s blooming season . They are very strong plants and easy to grow. Give it a try.

Plant recommendation for your sunny window; if you have space left after rearranging your succulents… check in to getting a Ruby necklace (othonna capensis). Its leaves turn purple in bright direct light. Purple fades to green in the winter, but goes back to purple in bright sun. Stems stays purple.

Hello! I have a tip for your suculent. Put it next to the window, just where you have the sanseveria. You will see how it goes better. Also, dead leaves are normal in that type of suculents. They drop leaves as they grow, so just pick them and clean the plant superficially, and you will see how happy it will be:) hope that helps! Thanks for your video!❤

👍🏿❤ . Also the right pot help with keeping your plant baby happy . Clay pots work well for plants that do not require a lot of water . Even if you have tendency to love your plant to death ( over water it ) , the clay pot will allow the water to evaporate, naturally .

When covering a cut on stems, instead of soil, you can use some cinnamon to prevent bacteria, and it'll heal it. All succulents need to be on windowsill for direct sun. Echeveria, Jade, haworthia, etc need direct sun.

Hi! I just found your channel but i saw someone in the comments recommend a rubber tree for your high light window, and I could not agree more. My bestfriends mom has a tree, and i mean TREE inside, her mother gave it to her when it was about 4ft tall as a graduation present, and in time its grown to canopy her living room. it gets bright hot sun pretty much all day because of the south facing windows, and theres no sign of burnt leaves. it grows like a weed when it gets warm out here in canada.

Hi Nkenge, thank you for the video. You are such a pretty person and I love your voice. Do you find that the colored bottles produce better roots when propogating? I have such a difficult times with propogation. My plants either get soft and mushy and no roots grow. Also, I'm a Leca user and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LECA. I found that my established plants thrive in it and I have very few problems especially with pests. Anyway, let me know your thoughts on using colored bottles for propagating. If that's the case, I'll hit the Dollar Store for some. Thanks!
@itsnkenge
@itsnkenge 3 ай бұрын
Heyy, thank you!! So far, I have not found any issues with using colored or clear bottles for Propogating. They have both worked well for me. I’ve had cases of the mushiness you speak of, but that issue only came when it wasn’t a good cutting. Like the node maybe wasn’t long enough or there wasn’t enough nodes for produce roots from. Even when there was enough nodes and one part got mushy, I would just remove the mushy part, change the water, put the plant back in the bottle and it works wonders! It could also sometimes take 2 weeks to a month to start seeing roots as well. You really just have to monitor it and make sure it’s a good cutting! I hope this helps!

The Echeverría is light deprived as well. Girl, get some grow lights. Most of your plants that are struggling need more light

My Echeveria is definitely light deprived 🥹. The thing is, if I give SOME of my struggling plants any more light than what they already receive on the daily, they’ll burn (dealing with this now with my syngoniums) If anything, I’m thinking some of them need more water and humidity. 😭🙏🏾 Going to try a few things and post an updated vid.

@@itsnkengeif you don’t have a humidifier for some of your tropics, get one!! i saw amazing growth rates after using one everyday for my fiddle leaf fig, monstera, and all my philodendrons. my syngonium neon also realllyyy loves the humidity

@@itsnkenge putting the ones that need more light in one area and the rest in a less bright location might help. You can tell which ones are light deprived because there is so much space between the leaves like they’re trying to stretch to find some sunlight. More water or fertilizer is not going to help those ones and could possibly kill them faster

New to your channel, I love your plants. What soil do you transplant then in… I have a lot of propagations in water but I’m afraid to transplant them 😅

I like to use a mixture of maybe 25% orchid and 75% garden soil from Miracle Gro. I love how orchid soil has tree bark which helps prevent my plants from being over watered! As I’m still learning, one day I hope to create some mixtures for my plant babies from scratch! I hear perlite is a great addition!
