4-in-1 Kakanin sa Bilao | Mix N Cook
Good day! Today, we're going to make a festive Kakanin sa Bilao by incorporating four of our most favorite delicacies. We have our fluffy and cloudy PutoCake, chewy Biko with a creamy leche flan topping, colorful layers of Sapin-Sapin, and 2-layer sticky and chewy Kutsinta. There are a lot of options to choose from so you can enjoy every bite of these Filipino Kakanin in one go. Enjoy!
PutoCake
Ingredients:
Cake flour 3 cups
White sugar 1 cup
Baking powder 1 1/2 tbsp.
Salt 1/4 tsp.
Water 2 cups
For Meringue:
Egg whites 6 pcs. (Large to XL Size)
Cream of tartar 1/4 tsp.
Sugar 3/4 cup
Toppings:
Cheese
2-Layer Kutsinta
Ingredients:
All-purpose flour 2 cups
Cassava flour 2 cups
Brown sugar 2 1/2 cups
Lye water 2 tsp.
Water 5 cups
For the 2nd Layer:
Glutinous rice flour 1 cup
Brown sugar 1/2 cup
Lye water 1/2 tsp.
Water 1 1/4 cups
Annatto seeds 1/4 cup
Sapin-Sapin
Ingredients:
Glutinous rice flour 4 cups
Rice flour 2 cups
Sugar 1 cup
Condensed milk 1 can
Coconut cream 2 cups
Water 1 1/2 cups
Food coloring (optional)
Biko de Leche
Ingredients:
Glutinous rice 1 kilo
Water for rice 4 1/2 cups
Coconut cream 2 cups
Sugar 1 1/2 cups
Ube flavoring (optional)
For Leche Flan Topping:
Condensed milk 1 cup
Evaporated milk 1/2 cup
Egg yolk 2 pcs.
