Eligible voters in Delta State this Saturday trooped out in their numbers to exercise their franchise in the Local Government Elections, despite the early morning rains.
The rain started just as accreditation commenced at about 9:00 a.m
While various stakeholders commended the seamless electoral process by the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission and the peaceful conduct of voters, the All-Progressives Congress condemned the Delta State Independence Electoral Commission (DSIEC) for failing to release sensitive electoral materials, including result sheets and ballot papers, for the local government council elections.
