Great video love her personality. I never heard of a constantly busy Dj not have Any type of lighting. This is the first I heard that. I wish her the best and hopefully she starts adding lighting to her business.

I like the maxis, I should have bought them, instead I bought the freedom pars with the wifi that works with a phone to color mix. The freedoms weigh almost 6lbs so that sucks but they seem brighter. Anyways great video bro

Hey Joe! Great video!! I just ordered some ape labs uplights and the connect/w-app device… I also have some wireless Acue uplights… do you know if I can control ALL of the uplights using the w-app? And would you mind sharing where you got the uplight covers? Thanks!

Hi DRJ, Ape Labs are awesome! I don't know what the Acue uplights are. The W-App is only for Ape Lab products. If you want to control non-Ape Labs products, you'll need a DMX lighting software. I use SoundSwitch. You can use SoundSwitch with all kinds of light fixtures that have DMX. I thought Ape labs can’t do Amber or Gold or Candlelight?

It's not true amber/gold, but it's something very close to it and you can still get by with it from my usage and experience

@@djmojoeofficial not good enough for me at the $350.00 price point. Why they dropped the ball on the Amber and UV is a major mistake. I’ll choose y to wait and they know it and watch the next generation of their lights will change trust me on that and I’ll be willing to bet.

I have the RGBW on these uplights. It's presentation of the amber is quite good and passable though. I've used it at my events and look great.

nice, Nice, NICE!!! Cool vibe, killer location. Man your job was easy, one color? If that's what the customer wants, that's what you give them. I love the collaboration as well. I do lights only at times. It's actually a lot less stressful. Nice job.

Dam I WISH i JUST HAD 1 OF KARAS ACCOUNTS! Now I will crawl back in my corner.....Well with all those accounts, Kara you can afford the entire line of APELABS with extras! I can't even afford 1 Apelab. Maybe I can buy 1 LED light inside an APELAB. GOOD JOB YOU GUYS!

Awesome video! Quick questions regarding using sound switch, when a clients want the up lights to stay one color all night how to you override the scripted shows for your uplights while keeping your moving heads following the scripted shows for all your songs?

Thanks for watching! I remove the DMX feature on my uplights so it won’t be connected to SoundSwitch. It’s easy for me to do that on the Ape Labs WAPP. Other uplight fixtures may be different. If all the Uplights are slaved to the master, just change the master uplight to the solid color you want.

Thanks for watching, Jemil! Where are you from? I guess it depends which uplights you're renting. For these, I charge clients $40/piece, but to other DJs, I can rent them out for $20-$25/piece.
