My first thought is that the lens doesn't have to be infinitely large, it just needs to enclose the object. Not sure what that would do to the image, though

One question, so, as the angle of the marginal ray depends on the distance the object is respect to the lens, does that mean that NA (as it is the sine of the angle of the marginal ray) is dependent on the distance? I dont get it because usually on the spec sheet of a lens usually the NA is put and I dont know at which distance it is given.

What is the effect of increasing and decreasing the aperture stop diameter on the image obtained at the screen?

The main one is that the I,age gets brighter as you open up the aperture stop. You are also exposing more of your lenses, so aberrations will get worse as you open it.
