Excellent video, man. It's so refreshing to see other people thinking about the bigger picture. I don't know how you collected all this information, organized it and then presented it in such a cohesive fashion but I thank you for all the effort. This was truly enlightening.

Nostalgia can be tough as you age, I guess depending on how you look back. My brain wants to look back and miss all the different phases of my life, but 1) my brain ruminates on the bad parts and 2) I feel loss/depression about not being able to go back or experience it again.

I make my choices based on coin flips, it's honestly a really good system in my opinion. If you don't know which thing you want, just leave it up to chance. If you find yourself wanting one option more than the other, good job you made your decision.

The egg theory is truly enlightening. Seeing yourself through the eyes of the one who broke your heart or was broken by you truly puts life into perspective.

I’m happy to see so many people reference the egg theory segment. I would love it if you spliced it and posted it as a separate video. Content creators post videos titled “you should watch this every morning” to refer to some practice or some notion that would make you more aware of your own being and help you to live your day with intention. I believe this segment, given its own space, would be one of those videos. It says just about everything I have come to understand about spiritual teaching and existential thinking. Great overall video. I enjoy all of the concepts you have presented and the concise explanation and brief history given to each one.

This, hands down, is the best video I’ve watched. It’s the sort of video you can return to countless times to investigate or refresh your insight - and it’s also the sort of thing that scratches the itch SO WELL for curious and questioning beans like us. I’m not quite sure how to put my feelings into words right now. All I can say is thank you. You’ve given me a taste of what I’ve been craving for so long. I didn’t know how badly I needed to know that it’s perfect to not know, to want to know is all that matters. Thank you to whoever is behind these videos because for just an hour I’ve felt a peace I hadn’t felt before. I hope you find that all the little things go right the first time around. :)

I’m a fiber optic splicer/technician for the last 23 years and I have a newer coworker we all refer to as Dunning Kruger because he can extrapolate huge amounts of information from substandard data and then act with supreme confidence. I tend to fix a lot of things he’s worked on

The Egg Theory really does resonate with me. I had a terrible hospital visit in 2017 in which I had died under surgury for 20 minutes. When I was gone, I had a sense of calming solitude in which nobody had greeted me or walked with me. I strongly believe that it was not my time and I was brought back for a reason, but with your explanation that everyone around is basically me but not really me is overwhelming. In the sesne that I could be the worst and best version of myself on different timelines. It's not a crazy idea but its worth taking note of.

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my KZfaq channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,649 subs and > 1k hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

I heard that Egg theory a long time ago when I was a teen. It totally changed how I think. It made so much sense to me that I was prepared to follow this philosophy or religion. I can easily emphasize with people because they are me. It also made sense why some people are evil and some are kind and understanding, those evil people are the version of me who was still in the early stage of conception, they don't know much but themselves. Those kinder versions of me are the more matured ones who reached a reasonable point of enlightenment. It also aligned with buddhism's "We are One" and Christian's "Do to your neighbors what you want to be done unto you"...makes me wonder what if Jesus was our final Form? He did ascend with his reincarnated body

Starting off with the swan is brilliant. Black swan is next to the cave shadows story on understanding the core of philosophy. People focus too much on *a* philosophy, when we should always be questioning and 'trying' different views, forcing different biases on ourselves to better understand and be aware of them-rather than observing them through a looking glass; Which leads to said Black Swan.

The Krueger effect is something I’ve never heard of but experienced it for years without knowing. Especially in the car enthusiast world I usually stay quiet on certain subjects because I know how much there is to know but listening to others spew misinformation fascinates me.

I've been listening to theories about philosophy for most of my life. I settled on believing that there is only one Soul, and it is not limited by time or space, and we are ALL reincarnations of the same person. It makes it easier to be decent, considering I'm also the other person in another life. It also explains why so many of the women I know have been Cleopatra.

I thought life couldn't get worse when my fiancé died by suicide. I named my son after him and 16 years later, my son by the same name died by suicide. I am all too familiar with the black swan theory. I was the chicken carried to the slaughter house twice, but instead of at least ending my misery at the betrayal i have to live on in it.

I think Socrates "I know that I know nothing" or thereabouts is a pretty profound thing. Sort of a motto to live by. You can know enough to get by in our experienced reality but being wise is knowing that our 'knowledge' may simply be "good enough for government work"

That bit about the chicken really struck fear into me, "oh my god why am I here" "where is my owner" "I was so sure that he loved me", what if we are all just chickens in some slaughterhouse we can't comprehend, where we are given a grace period before eventually being taken away by what we perceive as our bodies failing, only for something to happen that blows our minds and makes us scared and angry that we can't tell ones who are living about it. This somehow doesn't make me feel bad for chickens.

So much to ponder. Amazed at just how many hours of effort must be on display here. Thank YOU for taking your vision to a platform where viewers are challanged to think for themsleves. Suggest adding more defined breaks. There is so much that it can be overwhelming.

The leptons is the group of particles that includes the electron, the muon and the tauon/tau particle, and their 3 respective neutrinos. Leptons are all fundamental; they are point particles, not made of smaller particles(at least as far as we know right now.

I work in medicine. 90% of patients were married just once, for life. Partner of 50-60 yrs died. Had 5 kids, they all live their lives and ultimately only return to ask for money. These frail old plp sacrificed their life as a provider. They're rewarded with nothing. Just abandoned all year, barring bday and Christmas. They're so miserable. They blame the care home for the misery. But we both know the truth. Their loved ones left them. It's so cruel. It's such a common story, I decided not to marry or have kids. Sometimes, one childless offspring will do a weekly visit to the elderly relative. They're usually on bad terms with their siblings. I see this constantly. I have to interact with the patient or their kids. I'm meant to be there for the medicine management, but constantly witness this horrible end-of-life abandonment. No one talks about this last 10 years.

I subscribe to "fail and fail quickly" When you have multiple choices , all of which seem to have value etc , its best not to waste time or Hold back out of fear that you're not choosing the "winner", its better to , get to , trying and failing (ie, fail & fail quickly) , ive found this way to be the most efficient and comprehensive stratagy for reaching ultimate success.

I knew most other children didn't like me growing up, but it never occurred to me to try to do anything about. I didn't change for them bc it never occurred to me to care about anything from anyone else's perspective but mine.

I can relate to you about having those same questions about the universe and death while my friends didn't have that same curiosity so I just grew up holding it in only letting little bits out when others were talking about it and even then I would be careful what I would say in fear of what other people would think

I find it strange how in learning about the Dunning Kruger effect, I’ve become a victim of the Dunning Kruger effect, essentially thinking I know more than I actually do without properly reading and studying the effect.

Hawking did not become a revered physicist because of a movie about him. He was already incredibly famous and arguably since his book A Brief History of Time decades earlier.

I just wanna argue one point you made in which you pose the question: when was the last time you read a book about someone who failed? And the answer is… many, many times. Many psychoanalysts and philosophers died poor and unknown. A lot were even ridiculed and hated during their lives. It wasn’t until after they died as failures that people finally realized the value of their work. This extends to a lot of musicians, artists, and so on.

I have just finished reading 'Antifragile' , Talebs own answer to the uncertainty he unvovered with his Black Swan Theory. I can highly recommend it, not only is it truly fascinating and enriching in a practical, heuristic, kind of way. It is entertaining. Taleb got a great and fun to read writing style

Something strange just happened to me so I will share. My Dads birthday is today Sept 2 1934…he would have been 89. Starting my day thinking of him I went to the corner store. My total was 19.94 …the year he died. Almost 30 years ago. While thinking of him already because it is the day he was born as soon I heard the total 19.94 the year he died kinda tripped me out. Was he saying Hi to me or letting me know he was with me in some way? Or was it just a coincidence? I’m gonna think he is just saying Hi. 👍🏼🌎☀️💙…I really needed this video today…thank you

Now that knowledgable people understand that they typically underestimate themselves, they've started getting an understanding on how much they really know in comparison to those who don't understand whatever the subject is. The egg theory is my absolute favourite theory. I didn't see or hear anything about it online until a month or so ago, but for years, since I was a little kid, almost every detail of egg theory has been solid belief in my mind. I remember wandering around the woods by myself wondering if we all see the same colours, if we all experience life the same, if we reincarnat back in time, and nobody told me to think it, I just did. And it felt so real. It makes sense. And once I found out other people have actually thought it for a long time, it made it feel a lot more special. It's just cool
