Respawn says the changes are meant to better align with Ranked mode and offer more value for your playtime, but the community isn't buying it. There have even been reports of negative reviews and some players threatening to leave the game altogether. The controversy is still brewing, and it'll be interesting to see if Respawn listens to the player feedback and tweaks the system.
