Echoing what others are saying, Stories from the Outlands is reaaaally good. Less trailers and more lore/backstory films for some of the characters

I just want to add a little context for the season 4 and 5 trailers, as you won’t find out without reading lots of old lore. this is a lot to take in, but he’s by far the most interesting character next to pathfinder so it’s worth it. Revenant (the robot) is known as a simulacrum, ash is also a simulacrum (from season 12) but they are different models made years apart. Revenant was the first simulacrum ever made and is around 300+ years old but was once a human hitman called Caleb Cross. he died (as a human) by underestimating a man he’d been sent to silence after witnessing a murder, he killed the witnesses family and then in a fit of revenge and with nothing left to lose the man drugged Caleb’s drink, took him to the city’s sewage treatment and drowned him… (I’m not kidding) When the criminal syndicate found out their best and by far most relatable hitman was killed they quickly recovered his body and using brand new experimental methods at the time they managed to extract his memory’s and personality and essentially used some kind of AI system to replicate the memories and personality while at the same time keeping him out of the loop, not knowing he’s a simulacrum. They also make thousands of “shell’s” so if revenant is ever damaged beyond repair he will just wake up in another body unaware he’d died just 2 seconds ago. 280ish years pass and he still thinks he’s Caleb Cross until the hit we see in the trailer, a piece of glass stuck in his neck was enough to send his AI haywire and the mental block was gone, in one moment 280 years of dying over and over again came flooding right back and due to his very design it all felt so real even if he was a robot the whole time. The next 30ish years revenant only wants one thing, to cause as much pain and suffering to those who dammed him to eternal life, he went to multiple Hammond robotics labs (the manufacturer of him) torturing and killing employees to get more information on himself, he sliced one employees leg open and “played with his tendons like violin strings”, when he finally found what he was looking for he was very disappointed. The people who he sought revenge on had died centuries ago and he would never get his revenge. The reason he’s in the apex games now is so the syndicate/Hammond robotics can keep tabs on him and to keep him distracted. He is aware of his “head” can be destroyed (the one in the season 5 trailer) but he’s physically incapable of destroying it himself as he was coded that way. Ehhh… ok lore dump over, this has to be the longest comment I’ve ever written. I hope you get something out of this, if you want anything else explaining I’ll happily explain. 👍

If you guys didn't know, apex legends was created to be in the same universe as the titanfall games (a personal favourite) which is a run and gun parkour pvp shooter with...titans. But if you all want, you can take a look into that series and see why apex legends is what it is, as well as the fast play style it has.

You should watch the stories from the outlands trailer to get most of the lore and yes the names are kind of the theme of the season and its event

The Revenant trailer (Season 4) is the sole reason I decided to main him on Apex. I was a Caustic main (gas daddy in the yellow), but Revy brings the heat.

I agreed. The best cinematic trailer only in season 4 assimilation. The best entire trailer in Apex Legends.

Apex is still my favorite battle royale ever. The biggest reason is movement. It has classic Source Engine movement, but with many more layers added on top. It just feels damn good to play. The Time To Kill is also perfect, it gives you enough time to retaliate when attacked, but not so much time that shooting first wouldnt give an advantage. If you get the drop on somebody you have an advantage, but if thet are in a good spot they can turn back on you and outplay you. Its a nice mix. Also the sound design in the game is amazing. Theres some bugs with the actual sound engine, but the sound effects themselves are damn near perfect when they work properly.

Stories from the Outlands reaction when?

Ayo Michael Mirage cosplay when? Looking forward to the second half! Apex is actually set in the Titanfall series since their done by the same team. I think with the recent Titanfall 3 rumors I think a look at their trailers and cinematics would be fun!

i play apex legends for it's quick movement and gunplay. staying still gets you killed. but constantly moving is a skill that's equal to good aim and good map awareness, having all 3 skills makes you a true Apex Legend

These trailers are little teasers for people to figure what are we getting each season and what's new so you get a sneak peak that character teleports or does other stuff or if we are getting a new map if you want too know more lore watch the stories of Outlands those are one of there best Animations and also more stories or lore are in game so just watching all there trailers or other stuff isn't enough

They did have a new hero based br called hyper scape that would be closest to apex and serves closed down after less then a year

I enjoyed the older animators a lot more for the older trailers, I don't know what happened in season 11, but I find the animation off putting and too overexaggerated if that makes sense.
