a lot of these clips are possible because of horizon’s passive that lets her keep momentum and not get slowed down when hitting the ground fast, for example a lot of the gravity cannon clips

@@eyrie7983 tap strafing isnt possible on controller without scripts to allow it but everything else works people are debating if it should be bannable to use scripts just because aim assist exist as if thats the only advantage keys has over it when the potential of leys is still crazy and casuals aka the majority wouldn't even bother wall bouncing

Horizons passive is beautiful for Strom point, it makes it so when you hit the ground you don't get slowed down at all and you can keep your momentum from the gravity cannons

You don't need to tap strafe to keep momentum while bunny hopping, rather it's due to horizons passive.

Just a quick tip: Not every turn is a tap strafe and people wall jump to change direction which can be mistaken for a tap strafe.

Taxi isn't jitter-aiming, he's strafing back and forth really fast it also reduces recoil when walking

that was punch boosting, essentially punching the ground behind you mid slide for more speed. Sadly thats been nerfed now

he did not punch tho. it's just using the texture of the terrain to not lose velocity and bump the character model. if you landed with your camera facing the ledge you would've either mantled the ledge or just stopped in your tracks.

Her passive give sher no delay when she lands on the ground, so she kept all the momentum the entire way through. If I remember correctly it also gives her a slight slide boost when she lands

the clip where he kept his momentum then turned and punched and it launched him up is a horizon punch boost.

If you still don’t know about the backwards jump thing near antenna, it’s possible in a lot of places. The concept of that technique is where he uses the hit box from the back of his character to hit the edge and it bumps him up.

1:16 he turned his back on yet another ledge so he gets a boost. Tru it out just do a 180 turn before you land from a jump and look the other way after landing gives you a speed boost.

Tapstrafing is really hard when you first learn it. Eventually it'll become second nature as you build up the muscle memory. Also having both forward and jump bound to scroll wheel makes tapstrafing a lot easier, so you don't have to coordinate a jump with one hand and tapstrafe with the other. Simply scroll down to jump, then scroll up to tapstrafe immediately afterwards.

The main reason taxi is able to move so much in the air is because of horizons in air maneuverability passive, she basically has two passives

Tap strafing on controller is literally just "push left analog down" and either move the left analog in the direction you want OR use the right analog to angle yourself into the direction

Yeah Horizon passive lets you have more movement in air and no momentum slow when you hit the ground. She is crazy fun to play.

The first clip is horizons passive doing work. You don't have a fall stun and you just slide out of the grav cannon she keeps her momentum. He smacked a rail with his tailbone and it made him go flying since he can't mantle it.

On the clip where you were talking about him ‘snaking’ along the floor. It’s very possible on controller and console it’s essentially just bhops (crouching while jumping there’s no tap strafe involved) and you just move your view and direction at kind of the same rate which is even better on horizon because included in her passive she has quicker/more exaggerated movement left and right

you can do the snakey-b-hops if you play claw and move your camera left and right every b-hop which allows you to keep your momentum while b-hopping but like i said you have to play claw as well as practice it a lot and get the muscle memory down

If you use steam for apex and have extra paddles you can bind key-binds to your controller via steam allowing you to tap strafe on controller

The thing at the begining was a "punch boost" its been removed but in like season 12 i think it was you could punch the ground during a slide to get 2x the speed

About the movement in the 2nd clip. B4 season 12 you could melee the ground for a momentum boost. Mix that with horizons passive that stops her from losing momentum when she lands that's how he went so far

The second clip he’s mainly using horizons passive but when he turned around for some reason if you hit a ledge backwards you get shot up into the air

@team summertime , what he does when he turns arround and jumps 30 meters is not a tap strafe. When you hit something frontaly you lose momentum because you collide with the object, if you hit the same object with the back, you collide in a diferent way but instead you get repeled without losing momentum.

When he turned and punched the ground, pretty sure that was a "Punch Boost" (allowed for stacking momentum increases, apparently without limit) but they've removed that from the game

Also you could and I think still can bhop slightly on controller but not as consistent. It's easier when there's a slight slope or something, or I've noticed looking backwards helps. I usually just try it when I'm healing and sometimes I do it lol

Horizon has a soft landing and air control as a passive so you can slide when you land and slide

Also, B hopping can be done on controller. You just have to turn slide to hold instead of toggle. You just jump slide, hold the slide button down and jump while doing so. Easy with paddles
