I’m sure it’s been mentioned already but CEO Hal’s clip he pulled port (u can still take damage while placing it) and at same time used his phase ability so he didn’t take damage then placed port and took it cause u don’t take damage in the port but without his phase ability while placing he would’ve still taken damage. Wish they’d shown the whole clip tho he was solo for a good min even got a kill or two before that

If y'all see this then the play at 30:20 will make more sense. Crypto can instantly respawn a teammate at a respawn beacon where as other players have to hold E on it for a while. His drone can also instantly scan beacons for the next zone.

To understand the Hal portal play at 1:25. He runs in a circle to increase the distance of the portal so he can stay in it longer. What this does is minimize his time in the ring taking damage, while the other team sits in it and receives zone damage. Typically a wraith in that situation comes out on top because of those abilities, sometimes combined with a gold armor or a pre meditated med kit which prolongs the advantages.. Hope this helped :)

29:55 Anyone can deploy a mobile respawn beacon (if you have one in your inventory). Crypto can pick up banners with his drone, and also call in the respawn instantly with his drone. (That's why they used the drone rather than stand there holding "interact" to call in the res.)

gotta react to TSM winning this years $250,000 ALGS Playoffs, that was HYPE, btw there's so much EVA-8's because it used to be the best shotgun last year but it got hard nerfed so go for mastiff or pk :D

Btw he could take damage in the "set" as you put it, in the hal portal clip. What he was doing was creating space between his portal entrance and exit so if it came down to it, while the others take damage from the storm he can take a portal that once entered will last much longer than a portal set with a simple straight line path. He doesn't take damage while he is in the portal, (as in once he enters inside in the portal). Basically by doing so he gets 3-5 seconds of no damage from the ring. The reason he didn't take damage from the ring in the "set" is actually because a tick of storm damage doesn't happen instantaneously, but takes a second or so to register the damage.

In ALGS Heat Shields/Gold Knockdowns are disabled only respawn beacons. Also crypto is able to insta rez on beacons even if someone else is using it.

The goal is for each team to get as much KP as they can and get as high a rank as they can. Both give points to the team's overall scores. Each "round" is 6 games, so I think you can win the whole thing without actually winning any single game. Just figured I'd say this because you all seemed to think these clips would end in a win each time. So that clip of the Horizon taking their team from 16 squads to 3 was a big solo carry.

The cool thing to me about the shot gun clip at 5:31 is the fact that they were able to make like top 3 and then also poke all the other squads. Placements is everything in apex so the fact that they were even alive with no ammo and a shotgun is insane tbh. {edit} : In a tournament no less!

The few explanations. When you see zone move fast during res. Its mostly spectator bug. And for the drone ress when you use it with drone its instant. While with legend you need to hold it for quite long time.

You will take damage while setting portal but when you pair it with her phase she won’t take damage from any source while in her phase. That’s why he sets it right after his phase is gone. Hope that makes sense.

The Eva 8 is still okay, but just okay. You're much better off going with a mastiff now, or if you can hit your shots, the PK is my personal favorite

So, the crypto revive is even cooler than you noticed. Crypto not only can pick up banners but when he uses a mobile respawn or normal respawn beacon, it's instant and doesn't need to stand there and activate it.

Someone probably already said this…but with Crypto’s drone you can automatically respawn teammates back when you have their banner at mobile respawns or regular respawns. He can also hack the scan beacons as well.

Eva is definitely a shell of it's former self now. It's gotta a whole host of nerfs from pellet damage, fire rate nerfs, and headshot multiplier nerfs. You need to hit all your shots for it to be decent, but even then the mastiff and pk are better atm.

The mobile respawn with the crypto drone was to insta use the mobile cause instead of having to hold it like normal the drone calls them back immediately

The skill level in these lobbies is so close to even that a 156 damage kraber shot almost secures the fight for you. Think about it this way, 600 health for both teams, if you can take away 25% of the enemies health instantly without trading any of your teams health, you have a massive advantage in that fight.

2:36 my english is not that good but i'll try to explain this play. when u cast ur Ult as wraith u got that 100% indicator(rift energy), thats is the distance that u can use ur portal, so he is running in circles to use the maximum distance that he can while the ring is closing, and then when the ring is about to touch him, he uses her the void (that first part when hes screens looks like blue or whatever) to not take damage of the ring (while her enemy starts taking), place his portal and take back (to be in void again and avoid the ring damage). 3:02 and u right, thats portuguese.

You don't take damage when in wraith phase or when going through port so if you have the final ring n a floor seperation wraith can do that to guerentee a win

So the mastiff and peacekeeper are the current favorite for shotguns. The Eva 8 was the favorite for awhile but they nerfed it into the floor. Pros choose mastiff or pk.

The zone wasn’t done closing which is why Hal didn’t take damage. You can take damage in the zone as you set your port if you haven’t phased yet

you guys should all take a day and dial in your Advanced Look Controls this is the key to winning gunfights in this game. the better you can track people while padding, dropping down on you from height etc. being able to track at a somewhat high sensitivity gives one the most untalked about advantages ever

i dont know if someone already mentioned it but mirage isint seen in comps like the algs cause his abillitys arent that good. His kit is probably the least liked next to rampart. also u dont see him in pubs. He is fun to play but he doesnt get u the win in comps
