sorry to be picky, but it wasn't a chocolate bar, it was a protein bar. Lots of people think when something says "fit" on the packaging, it means it will make you lose weight (where it's usually quite the opposite, they're for building muscle mass)

LaurenZ Well no, cause at the time Cady wasn’t trying to trick them, she was just suddenly pulled into their world and realizing that she liked it. Cady was (I think) talking about how Regina doesn’t know that she likes Aaron yet, and Janis is talking about how Cady doesn’t understand how dangerous Regina is

Okay so... this is just a random thought. Foxes are commonly known to have red fur and female foxes are called vixens. They're also known to be tricksters. Cady is a ginger and the play and movie both compare the people to animals based on behavior and appearance. The lines "but she doesn't know yet" and "how can you outsmart..." reminded me of the phrase "outfox the fox" which means to outsmart an already clever person which is something Cady did. She infiltrated the plastics and tricked them and took Regina's power in the process. I made it way too long... my only point is that Cady is a vixen. It's probably just coincidence but I just wanted to point it out.

Did you notice how they totally dehumanize Regina in this song? Talking about her as if she was nothing but a mindless predator whose very nature is to hurt others. It's something we do far too often with the people we fear or envy. We forget they are people too with their own motives and interests which have often nothing to do with us.

I think you completely missed the song, Katie is a child of biologist hence the nature comparisons, and Regina George kind of runs the show in the film, she's manipulative and beautiful and vain, the mark of a villian, although she's human. Imagine having that power as teen, that you can make any guy do what you wanna do and bend them over and back, and everyone fears and hates you because they know what your capable of. To give a better example in euphoria the one chick that was with Nate, coaxed him into beating up some random dude she was using to get him jealous. That's power, to beguile people into your own chessboard.

During "All their eyes say..." the eyes are goat eyes, underscoring the fact that they are victims, they are prey. Also, Regina's pupils are slits, which is normal for big cats like lions and tigers, and makes her seem much more sinister. Neat detail

Okay, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I don't think Regina is really a villain. She asked Cady to sit with the Plastics because she saw potential for Cady to be popular and fit in. I'm not saying she's always a good person. She really isn't. But she still basically took Cady in and I think she saw herself as something of an older sister to Cady. I don't know, though. She does a lot of reprehensible stuff.

In my eyes, especially in this song and animatic, Cady was taken under Regina’s wing. In the animatic, when Cady was staring at those girls, Regina looked at those girls with a mean look, which made them leave. I believe she seen potential in Cady, and did that for her. While a lot of people see her as a villian, I think she’s misunderstood. She was misunderstood so much, she started acting like people seen her. Mean, but beautiful. So when she seen Cady, she seen a loop to turn it around, but it backfired as Cady seen this as protection.

I think you could compare Janis to a guard dog. She could tell trouble when she smelled it, she warned her "owner" (friend) to protect her, and she is aware of things most people at the school aren't (like a dogs ability to smell and hear better than humans.). She also stays out of the way, unless it involves her and her friends. Just like a guard dog would be ok with family, but not a burglar. She didn't force Caddy to stop, she just urged her to. If you tell a guard dog to lay off, they will. And when she turns on Caddy, it was because she was helping the enemy in her eyes, like If a burglar and the victim both hurt the dog. She may seem non threataning at first, but if you get on her bad side- you get *hurt* .

@@crazybroadwaykid1552 I think the point is how you can see Cady slowly adapting into her new environment (aka plastics) but Cady is also slowly becoming manipulative person and hence becoming predator herself (overthrowing Regina etc). It is smart writing, while this song is focused on Regina and her power over the school, it is also foreshadowing what Cady will become later on.

i love this animatic SO much and all the details but wanted to say that i also love how Janis is trying to trick Cady into thinking that Regina is so horrible by simplifying it into the animal terms that she'll understand but Cady takes her own spin on it so that she can feel like it's good to be close with the "Alpha" of the school whereas Janis is still angry bc she's trying to manipulate Cady into thinking she'll turn her back any second which isn't incorrect 👀 sorry that took forever to explain

No. Regina was both a tyrant and cruel enough to spitefully manipulate Aaron to get back together with her (Someone Gets Hurt) after learning of Cady's crush. Then Janis and Damien encourage her to get revenge and knock her off her throne for hurting her like that (Revenge Party). Cady right here is developing an admiration for Regina's power, and she knows she wouldn't be safe if she went after Aaron. She is revelling in the power of being with her but knows it comes at a cost (that she can't go after Aaron despite them both enjoying math and getting along, and that Regina doesn't know yet). She isn't looking to dethrone her yet, because she hasn't been hurt by her yet, she is in fact enthralled by her and foolish enough to think she is really being her friend (note, those high heel shoes shown, are ones Regina purposely got Cady to make fun of her behind her back that she couldn't walk in them, Gretchen admits so later in the play during one of the Revenge Party sequences). The pink in her eyes is a foreshadowing to the point however that Cady will go powerhungry herself and become the same type of tyrant she saw Regina as, putting on an act to get what she wants out of Aaron, accusing Janis of having the problem in the same way Regina had in the past, acting to Gretchen and Karen in similar ways. She goes against Regina because she hurts her, she makes fun of her behind her back, and because she is encouraged to, by the people she trusts. But she spirals out of control later despite Damien and Janis trying to stop her.

Hmmm.... Regina never weigh more than 115, but there are 380 calories in a pretzel, and she only pecks one small piece for Cady, which still let the rest of the pretzel have about 350 calories. Imagine if she ate that everyday... I'm starting to doubt Regina's weight
