Addin to killercrabman's response, you can have sounds with electronic drums that you can't have with a real drummer playing acoustic drums. If the esthetic goal is to sound machine-like, then it's better to have the machine do the music !

There were plenty of times I programmed drums for a song for a band I was in and the drummer was like “who do you think I am?” Lmao But It just sort of hit me that I don’t know of many electronic acts that actually are based around an acoustic kit. I know a few that play electronic drumsets, pretty sure infected mushroom does that. It would just be cool to hear like a drum and bass band. maybe I’m just uneducated on it and it’s a more prevalent thing haha

He directed the "Come To Daddy" video, it was on the DVD, and still to this day freaks me out, but I always liked it and the song. You took it to an entirely different level, man.
