Lions should sign him, low risk signing and wages should be reasonable. He won't last at Bulls competition is tight on wings even our second choice wings put in a good shift when called on

It is just so so sad 😢We all just loved watching him play... whether it was intentional or not we have all been robbed from seeing an amazing talent on the pitch... Wish he could come back to the lions or find a home overseas in France to regain game time and confidence♥️

Apart from scrumhalf, Sharks are light in numbers in the backline. Wonder if they will make some moves or if they have some youngsters coming through...

His work rate was incredible in the two games he played for the sharks. He was more of a flanker than a wing. Maybe he should play as a loose forward.

@@MosesMatsepane. Loose head flankers (No6) are not that big. Take Siya, Kwagga, for instance. You sound now like a certain segment of our population who said Cheslin Kolbe is to small to be a wing.

@@donniehendricks6772 I wasn’t really undermining his size. Good thing that you mentioned Siya, who is 187cm and about 100kgs. Whereas Aphiwe is exactly the same size as me, 182cm at 87Kg. The biggest issue with Aphiwe is his weight not height. The Springbok loose forwards are usually close to 100kg, and that counts a lot during scrums and breakdowns.

@@MosesMatsepane. Aphiwe looked a bit bigger than 87kg since his comeback. Are you sure that the 87kg is his current weight? I don't know for sure.

I think it is possible that he was not a good culture fit. A lot of the players who are leaving are not good culture fit. A big problem of the sharks over these past few years is culture and toxic players which spilled over onto performance on the pitch. There are still players who are toxic, but at least they know now that if they mess around they will leave. Plumtree is cleaning house and some players have to leave.

That's interesting. Who do you reckon are the toxic players at the Sharks? I'm aware of the team culture issues but I wasn't aware that there were specific toxic players causing issues

Just go back to the Lions, Bulls should rather find an extra 10 who can fill Goosen's boots. This will be a waste of money

@@user-ou7cj6oy1x People said the same about Sbu. In the end it was a mess. The Bulls don't need him. With Moodie and Arendse they are sorted. The Lions could benifit from his experience. They only have three players with international caps in their squad. His experience can help them much more and he will get more opportunities to play.
