dat music is so extreme "lowkey-threatening" - try imagine that music would be playining nonstop in your real life - ya'd be so paranoid after a couple of days.... ... I love it.

It's not just the music, but the very horrible realization that he has to be SO CAREFUL with even peeking out the curtains of his shelter. NO WHERE is safe, and the music just hammers that in.

Don't even complaint. A few days ago someone wrote a post on the r/cataclysmdda on reddit that he spawned on a city that was surrouneded by zombies, and based on the reports of what monsters attacked him, some players argue that he literally spawned inside a necropolis with a portal nearby. A rough day.

I know that feeling! I've been subbed to Aavak here since Jef Major still made videos. Oldest one I can find that I watched (in a very quick search) was from November of 2012 in Spiderslaughter. Good times, it's been fun to watch him grow!

I don't think I can hit the like button hard enough to express my absolute joy yet gentle enough to not damage my universities mouse. I haven't been actively watching KZfaq much and I wanted to see what you had going on and I am so glad I did, I have so much more reason and motivation to finish my end of semester work now. Did I mention I love watching you play this game and how sad I am when the series ends and isn't picked up the next day? Moose are actually terrifying. You think because they're herbivores they will leave you alone if you leave them alone? Nope, they are murder machines. Step within their arbitrarily defined personal bubble and they will hunt you down and kick you to death, for distracting them from their tree-munching.

Yes, and the fact that they are seven feet tall on average helps to explain why you should fear them. From a description, they might sound a bit terrifying, but if you see a real one up close, you realize your concept of the word 'terrifying' was painfully naive.

Ack moose aren't scary! All you gotta do is show em who's boss! Yeah you show em who's boss and they'll pretty much leave you alone. All you gotta do is make clear that they are the boss and you are no threat and please don't eat me for my salty blood and phosphorus rich bones! I'm low carb & bad for you & taste weird! Edit: true fact, moose and other dear are opportunistically omnivorous. A dear is usually the first scavenger on a kill in any given north american forest.

One of my most favourite builds is genetic chaos - hooved mutant, kind of like a satyr! While you virtually cannot protect your feet, the sheer damage the hooves can do alone can save your character even if they don't know how to fight.

Woo! So excited to see this! I voted for it in the strawpoll and I'm super glad it ended up being a yes! Too bad my name didn't get chosen, but I hope Brutus survives for a long time! It was interesting hearing you essentially go through a tutorial for the game while having quite a bit of experience in the game itself. There's a lot of things that I don't end up paying attention to during the game while I'm so familiar with it, such as movement costs, sound, etc.

Oh man, a good while ago before I subscribed to you I found one of your old CDDA videos, and I watched it and was like 'what the what is this', went 10 minutes, exited the video. Then I found your channel again, and I subbed, and then I found another person who played CDDA constantly, friends got me into it, watched that youtuber play CDDA which helped me get good at this game... ...and I'm really excited you're playing it now! Hooray

OMG YES!!! I missed this game with you! I missed the exploits of Isdar especially. Can't wait to see what unfolds. I can't remember the name of the cart that turned into a vehicle, but that was such an amazement to me as to the complexity of the game.

Woo! Another C:DDA series from you! I'm looking forward to re-learning so many things from you. For instance, I completely forgot about the getting strings from curtains or peaking through them without opening them. I'm curious what your world and general settings are, so I hope you do a short (or long?) video going through them and explaining your choices for each setting. I'll be honest, I like whatever settings you chose for you UI and hate how cluttered mine feels when I look at it, so I would like to see how you set it all up!

Aavak, you are the one who introduced me cataclysm years ago and as a long time subscriber, this is beyond exciting to see this game yet again return to the channel. However, as a player that played long before tilesets existed for this game, I find them quite unappealing. ASCII really allows your imagination to run wild, which is one of the best parts of playing this game.

My lord I have been waiting for this for so long! Can I suggest you make a motorbike when you get to the vehicle stage this time? In my own world I have one and they are such fun! They are extremely maneuverable and turn on a pin as well as being able to drive through open doors plus you can drag them around if you keep them light. I went for a heavy build on mine and stuck a ram on it which is amazing at killing zombies and blasting through buildings! Once, I couldn't make a turn and was going to end up crashing through a house! I thought it was all over but instead my bike went straight through 3 walls at 122kph like a bullet through paper and came out without a scratch! Also folding carts are amazing and extremely useful once you have a vehicle and are easy to make with wood. some things to look forward to for you, can't wait for the next episode.

I never typically use a lot of strength because the more you use blunt stabbing or any type of Melee it builds up your strength stat so I focus on dex and perception to avoid stuff even more so when I’m scavenging at night time good content dude I hope this helps you
