@@pameladavis947 I don’t know these guys you’re talking about. And when Apocalyptica started there was nobody else playing anything but classical music with cellos. They are pioneers and that’s one of the many reasons I love them.

So it's not metal because of the cellos? Bro, what? If I play heavy metal on a piano, is that not metal but then it suddenly becomes metal if I add drums? That really doesn't make sense. The instruments used don't necessarily define a genre of music. The genre may have "typical" instruments, but the instruments alone don't define the genre... you've also got to think of the musical characteristics. Now look, I get it, the cello is not a typical instrument for heavy metal music, even more so if you choose to not use guitars... if cellos are used at all in any heavy metal, they're typically used alongside guitars. Apocolyptica breaks away from this convention by not even using guitars.

Well it was common sense to use masks and social distancing. Traitor Trump showed when you are ridiculing use of masks and social distancing you create mass spreading of Covid-19. Traitor Trump failed to protect himself, his entourage and the whole USA against Covid-19. I am working in Healthcare so I know the facts. But I do agree with you Apocalyptica and Sepultura are great bands.

Still expands on the possibilities of the cello as an instrument though. There is no "best" use of a cello, or any instrument. There isn't even a "right" or "wrong" way to use it. We need to stop pigeonholing a musical instrument to a specific genre of music. The cello wasn't "made" for classical music. The piano wasn't "made" for classical, or jaz, or whatever... the instrument doesn't care what genre of music you play. It's not gonna go "hey, I'm a trumpet, so you can't play techno music". I don't know where the heck we got this idea from, but it's fucking wrong. It's total bullshit.
