lunarmodule5 : A successful completion, to a timeless, classic mission !!

A great mission, it had to have difficult to travel all that way, and not land when you are so close. Apollo 10 and before it, Apollo 8 paved the way for the mission to end all missions in July 1969. Every now and then I will see something or hear a song from that summer and for a millisecond I am transported back to July 20, 1969 and can actually "feel" how I felt during that mission. I was 10 going on 11 and am blessed to have been alive and able to understand and enjoy the magnitude of what they accomplished. Thanks again, LM5 for bringing the Apollo missions back to life so we can continue to relive this era of space flight.

Excellent coverage Simon. I remember watching the TV coverage of 10. Unfortunately, here in Australia we didn't have colour TV until 1975. Of particular note is that, during entry interface these, guys were traveling faster than any humans before or since: 39,897 km/h (24,791 mph). Amazing that Stafford is still with us.

FINALLY AT LONG LAST !! Lunarmodule5 has made the decision to complete the ENTIRE MISSION OF APOLLO-10, THE WAY IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE PRODUCED FROM THE VERY BEGINNING. No manned spaceflight, can ever be designated as a FULL MISSION, UNTIL the spacecraft has successfully splashed down in the water, and the crew is safely aboard the aircraft carrier, as was the case on May 26, 1969 when Apollo-10 completed its DRESS - REHEARSAL MISSION, paying the way to mankind's GREATEST ADVENTURE of the 20th Century, which eventually took place exactly 2 months later. So now, finally after all these years of waiting, i can download the ENTIRE APOLLO-10 MISSION, exactly as it happened from May 18 to the 26, 1969. Thank you so much, Lunarmodule5. THE WAIT WAS WORTH IT !!

And for precisely comments like this I will eventually stop doing these series. I do them in my own time, release when I want to. Your comment won't change that. Glad you like it but honestly, have you read your reaction? These are my series, my work, my decision to call them what I want, my decision when to release these, mine. Have you got that?

Demonstrates how easy it is to misunderstand conversational phrasing when there was a miscommunication that switching channels was ok'd but the crew thought they were instructed to wait.
