Apollo 13 - Part 17 - Flight Director Loop (113:00-123:00 GET)
Headphones are recommended - Left Channel - FD Loop and Right Channel - Capcom. Capcom loop is very noisy at times.
All media courtesy NASA except:
* Paolos wonderful MOCR
* Clock from Orbiter Space Simulator
* All pictures timed by Robin Wheeler - Amazing work and always a pleasure to work with.
* Johannes Kemppanen for the help with the Flighplans
* KS for access to the Flight Director notes
* DutchSteamMachines Apollo 13 DAC video
There is a Patreon for anyone interested in supporting my channel - All donations go to enhancing future content - thanks in advance and it would be great to have you onboard. Patrons often receive pre-launch video access and media content

Thanks LM5 for once again uploading something as brilliant as this and if anybody has any issue with the quality, please have them refer any queries to the 70s.

Have often been asked to use filters and noise reduction on the recordings but, to me, they should be left as they were. Thanks for your support and comments, really appreciate it - regards LM5

Thanks LM5 for all the effort you put into this. I've listened to a lot of the mission thus far. I've had several long car trips for work lately, blasting down the interstate listening to static waiting for the awesome nuggets of info. Also just watched the Mercury and Gemini videos on Homemade documentaries channel and saw you in his credits. So nice you guys bring historical meaningful content. Thank you!

It's funny how they say "Rog" instead of the usual "Roger" to acknowledge. Like that extra sylable is a waste of their time. These guys were all geniuses, and this one hammers that home.

Let's not be pure engineers...leave comments to that is appropriate... if only they would make a motivational poster to put in meetings I've attended.

One of Lunney's best quotes from this whole ordeal. Another one that comes to mind related to the subject of beating procedures to death: "Get with whomever wants to be got with, okay? But pronto."

Sorry, poor grammar. Not trying to be disrespectful here but do you have any idea how much time and effort it takes just to make, render and then upload a video like this? Something that was recorded using only the technology available in the 70s was taken and uploaded with visuals so we, who previously did not have this extent of access, could listen to it. Sometimes the Wi-Fi on my system is so weak that I have to sit right in front of the router just to be able to send a message from my phone, so frankly, the fact that something that is so old and was recorded between flight controllers, directors and the astronauts, who were in space at the time, and so many decades ago and still it has this kind of quality to it, is amazing. The fact that someone took the time to make it as presentable as it is, is even more amazing and as usual, extraordinarily very well done. Please excuse any grammatical errors I may have made. English is not my first language.
