We were are able to make the original erasable core memory work, under the watchful eye of guests more famous than us. This completes the restoration of the AGC. In the process we dump the historical content that was still present in the memory module and find all kinds of interesting things.
Frequent comment answers:
Yes we know about Francois Rautenbach and the Block I core ropes ( • Apollo Rope Memory Mod... ). These ropes are also from Jimmie but are not compatible with our Block II computer.
Yes we are in contact with Fran • Apollo AGC DSKY Displa... (and several others) about their superb DSKYs replicas.

@@mikestewart8928 Dude, it's the Mike! Man, I feel silly telling you this, but you are really an inspiration! I come back to these videos frequently, just to see your FPGA work. I'm not sure how to explain it, but, at least on camera, the confidence you exude, and the familiarity you have doing something like bit banging ICs that really belong in a museum, it takes something that I thought was a figment of my imagination, and turns it into a reality. You're doing awesome work man, and, speaking for myself, you're inspiring hopeful future computer engineers.

In a class of your own guys. Sincerely! I have played these videos from start to finish almost none stop. I watched the actual moon landing when I was a 13 yr. old kid on a black and white TV. The TV was powered by my dads water wheel power plant. I was despatched half an hour before the landing to check all was well in the wheel house (sluice gate, belts, and the ex- German U boat generator .. 220 Vdc). I am now just retired after 45 yrs. in the electronics industry and have been so fortunate to have gotten to America through my employer. This series of videos will mean so much to so many people and it does to me as an engineer. Thanks country cousins so much for doing this series. I’m just blown away! Cheers from N.Ireland.

As a professional computer tech with 20 years of experience repairing and building computers... I find the AGC absolutely fascinating. Obviously my experience is almost entirely with x86 and PowerPC computers. And the AGC predates the concept of computer architectures entirely. So seeing such a machine, especially with it's alien-seeming core memory, takes me back to the time when I was a kid learning about DRAM and microprocessors.

Well done indeed guys! If you could win a Nobel prize for old tech restoration you would win it, but most of all, the "man never went to the moon" brigade should hang their heads in their stupid shame as no one would have developed the AGC to perpertrate a hoax, let alone the incredible work you guys have have done to get it working properly decades later.
