I observed my son reading White's book on grieving when his young wife was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. She was given about 18 months to live, but praise God, she is still with us almost 10 years later.

Praise God for Dr. White! Four generations of my family have been saved from Mormonism into the body of Christ! :)

My distaste for James White aside, I do understand that just because you have somebody on does not necessarily mean you endorse all of their views and opinions. But have you had any Orthodox Christians on the interview show? Or Roman Catholics? I think Kyle and Ethan could have a *great* conversation with, say, Father Andrew Stephen Damick, or Trent Horn. I'd pay a month's subscription to the Babylon Bee if they interviewed Father Stephen De Young.

I'm so glad he mentioned the texts about the judgement of the Assyrians. That was theologically mind-blowing for a younger me when I had read it in scripture. God claims to use them as a weapon and then punish them for their motive in doing exactly what he intended for them to. Man makes plans but God directs their steps. The evil is still in our nature even as God means all of our actions for his ultimate good.

This was a really interesting, entertaining, funny and yet extremely intelligent interview.

I have studied the Bible for nearly 50 years. Have collegiate degrees, read most of the other versions and heard all the arguments, debates etc. I will stick with the King James Version. It's lead the greatest revivals known, help with the founding of the really only free and open societies in history of man and still preserves God's message to man. I don't think you need to "apologize" for it either, just preach it.

I recall listening to some James White debates and reading The Roman Catholic Controversy back when I was investigating Catholicism. He was one of the few Protestant authors I was able to find at the time that really tried to answer the official teachings of Catholicism instead of just perpetuating falsehoods and legends (which is horribly common in Protestant circles). I think I listened to a debate between him and Jimmy Akin. Ultimately Jimmy Akin, and the guys over at Catholic Answers (Catholic.com) won me over. That's something I never expected, feeling set in my ways as a non-denominational Evangelical. I think every Christian should really listen to both sides of the Catholic/Protestant debate... Well, three sides including Orthodoxy (though they are mostly kinda like decentralized Catholics). There were over 1500 years of history before we got to Luther, and some of that has to be important whichever side you are on. I appreciate the work White does with the Muslims, Mormons, and the culture. And I appreciate the attempt he made at really addressing Catholicism. He makes a very convincing case, but I think his critiques ultimately didn't hold up when I dove deeper.

In the interest of truth, Christians should be careful not to incorrectly refer to Mr. White as "Dr. White". It's well-known that his degree is dubious, having an un-accredited storefront diploma mill degree. "Columbia Evangelical Seminary" is run out of strip mall church and I understand its degrees aren't even transferrable to places like Liberty University. I prefer to respect the degree and those who have legitimately earned them.
