We finally got a chance to visit Apologia church and attended this service. It was packed. We sang multiple Psalms, prayed deeply, partook in the Lord's supper, and listened with conviction as brother White encouraged us to engage Muslims unapologetically and with the love of Christ.

I'm a Muslim. About 10 years ago in my late teens, the world was a much different place back then. The rise of ISIS was the source of so much hatred around the world. My knowledge was limited, so started to study Islam, and almost immediately I found these interfaith debates. There was this one Islamic website that had documented the debates with James White, William Craig, David Wood, Ben Shapiro, and a few whose names I forgot. I'd read these day and night, the impassioned kid that I was. One thing I noticed was that topics about our stereotypes (terrorism, etc) was absent in the discourses with David and William. However, I never saw their faces (we had bad internet lol and the page didn't have any photos), and unfortunately got all of them lumped together at some point. Fast forward today. I've been through many iterations of faith. Atheist, agnostic, faith leaning whatever you call it. What's happening in occupied Palestine have again brought me to this man, for the first time after a decade. A video where he directly called out the heresy of Zionism. I finally saw the man speak, in the flesh. Though we have fundamental differences in our interpretation of God (and I'm not here to argue), if there's ONE thing we can agree on, is the personality of Jesus. He was kind, passionate, loving, sensitive. He embodied the best of humanity as we saw in his treatment towards people, from all walks of life. I mean sure, he occasionally called people "snakes" (and other strongly worded nouns), but I bet he'd fight tooth and nail for the same people if anyone raised their hand on them unjustly. In a society that was so divided, being a hotbed of rebellion, he recognized that if there was any chance of lasting peace, Jews needed to make peace within themselves first. That was only possible through the simple act of treating the other person like a human being. Stop looking at the other person like he's just a bunch of arguments to be dismantled. Look at the person. It's disappointing to see that some Christians have birthed massive heretical cults out of sheer hatred, namely the evangelicals who care about NOTHING except for their delusional quest to enact Biblical prophesies. In their bid to bring back Jesus, they've essentially abandoned him. They're cheering on as bombs are dropping on the same blessed grounds that Jesus walked on, ignoring the sight of thousands of mothers who held their dead sons the same way Mary did (according to their belief). Sure our religions are different, but being from the same Abrahamic family, this feels like betrayal to our faith as well. Thanks for being the voice of reason, Mr. White. God created even our "opponents", and as a bare minimum, we must preserve that sanctity. We are not at war, and should never be subjected to blind, predetermined hatred. We follow the example of the same blessed agents of God, and we should be celebrating it before we can even hope to discuss what the truth is.

I praise God for your words of wisdom. You have embodied more understanding of what I have experienced in my 26 years as a Christian, as their pastors tickle their ears, telling them that they will be ruptured before anything bad starts to happen, all the while praising the destruction of those who believe in another god, thus, ushering in (like you pointed out) their Zionist view and the return of Christ. The problem is, the Anti Christ that will rise from this chaos, will be seen by the world, Christ's return. Nothing could be further from what Revelations says. God Bless you, and I want to thank you for your beautiful words.

I felt the same way when I was watching a video about the olympics and these people, who called themselves Christians were literally praying and hopong for God to destroy Paris and all the people there. It brings a fire to your belly. Even if they do wrong, we are all simners. And who are we to hope for the destruction and damnation of others when we ourselves our sinners who are only redeemed and sanctified because of the mercy of God? I evangelize because I care. I know what I believe to be true. So when people reject it, of course I become frustrated even to the point of desparation. Because I know unless these people learn and accept the truth they will go to Hell. It's only though the zeal of the Holy Spirit that you feel that way, but I don't hope anyone or any group is destroyed. God does not want anyone to go to Hell, but for everyone to come to the knowledge and truth about who He is

The bulk of the remaining 10% of Jews today are a mix of Edomite, Canaanite, Berber, With some white European blood sprinkled in. The true Israelites are The white Anglo-Saxon, Scandinavian, Germanic, Celtic, and kindred peoples.

“Allah is not going to be intimately connected to his creation, that’s against Islamic thought” Quran 50:16 👇 “And we have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than his jugular vein” and from the Hadeeth 👇 Anas ibn Mālik and Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said that Allah, the Almighty, said: "If the slave draws closer to Me by a hand-span, I shall draw closer to him by a cubit; and if he draws closer to Me by a cubit, I shall draw closer to him by the span of two outstretched arms. If he comes to Me walking, I shall come to him running." you see, God doesn’t have to have a mediator, or come down as a man (his son?) to be killed, in order to forgive sin.. it’s like if i owe 5$ to someone, and my friend comes along and pays it to him.. yes i didn’t pay anything, but still the payment was given! payment given = no forgiveness was involved!
@jessicaspencer1683
@jessicaspencer1683 19 күн бұрын
If you owe someone $5 and your friend pays it for you, you go free while your friend bore the burden of paying your debt. Your friend is an example of substitutionary atonement. Your friend paid your debt so your debt could be forgiven. And that's what Jesus did for us. He paid the debt for your sins by dying on the cross in your place, taking the punishment you deserve so you can go free. Either you can bear the burden of your own sins and pay for your own, or you let Jesus pay for your sins by trusting alone in what He did on the cross for you. The wages of sin is death. If Jesus took 100 percent of your punishment, there is zero punishment left for you. Place your faith in Him alone to save you. It is by grace alone you are saved, not of works, so no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

@jessicaspencer1683 18 күн бұрын
@@whysoserious0God is justice but He is also mercy. Someone has to pay for your sins, and it can either be you, or it can be Jesus. If it is Jesus, you are guaranteed eternal life, the moment you believe you are justified before God and you cannot lose your salvation. Eternal life is a promise if you trust Christ alone to save you and it is a free gift, you do not have to earn it. If it is you who has to pay for your sins, then you will have to face eternal torment in hell. And me saying this is loving you enough to tell you the truth, I don't want you to go to hell. If you have ever lied, or stolen something, looked at someone with lust (Jesus says that is the same as committing adultery) you have sinned against God. And that is just looking at 3 of the 10 commandments. Breaking just one commandment is falling short of God's glory and is enough to send you to hell. A just judge does not overlook crimes committed because of all the good a person has done. There is no good deeds outweighing the bad or vice versa. But someone can come along and bail you out of jail and pay your fine or your debt. And Jesus did that for you because He loves you. That is good news. Not only that, but Jesus is alive in Heaven today, seated at the right hand of the Father. Jesus was not unjustly killed on the cross. From before the foundation of the world, Jesus knew this was the plan for Him all along, and before the creation of the world, Jesus agreed with the Father to come and die to save sinners. Jesus says in John 10:18, "No one takes my life from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father." I am telling you today, you can have hope, 100 percent assurance and confidence you will be in Heaven if you trust Christ alone as your Lord and Savior. That is the promise of Jesus in John 3:16, and Jesus cannot lie.

@harrisonclewes7457 That’s wishful thinking my friend. I studied the Bible at a Catholic seminary, with a specific focus on the Gospels of MMLJ. I wrote a thesis on the biblical Jesus vs. the historical Jesus. I’ve also studied Zen Buddhism at a seminary in California. I wrote a thesis on Zen mindfulness practice. And I did quite a bit of work on Vedantic Hinduism. On this journey, I’ve seen many Christian priests and pastors as well as Buddhists and yoga devotes become Muslim. These were very devout people. And that’s not to mention the countless laymen that come every week to take shahada at our local mosque in upstate New York.

@@omarelamri Omar with respect, there are many people who have studied a lot more than you have with much higher accolations than "studying the Bible at a Catholic seminary" which have which have converted from Islam to Christianity, I would direct you to Thabiti Anyabwile for one, also Nabeel Qureshi as-well as Ayaan Hirsi to name a few. I live in London and I minister in the city with a huge muslim population, and we see huge numbers both convert or just leave the Islamic faith altogether. Even though that is true, it is not an argument for Islam being false. Islam is false because it tells a different story about who Jesus is and what He came to do, which leaves everyone who follows Islam dying in their sins and entering eternal suffering for rejecting God's Own Son. I am always surprised by the way to hear muslims using atheist non-believing arguments focused on "the historical Jesus" which is thought up by people who presuppose that there is no God and so He could not have spoken. If the same atheistic arguments were presumed and applied to the Qur'an, then you would have to start with the rational of "finding the historical Muhammad", and focusing on the unreliability of the Hadith to show that Muslims actually have a very unstable worldview. But Muslims believe that there is a God who has spoken and so can preserve His word! Which is what Christians believe, so you have to start there and argue from what's already been revealed Omar, and use equal scales to judge them both.

Stephen (Acts 7:51-60) showed loved to his fellow Jews by telling them the truth about Jesus as we are commanded and got killed because they were angry and murderous hard hearted people. Was he supposed to ignore them? Every disciple except John has been killed in the ancient world for spreading the Gospel. Jesus Himself showed love to the people who hated Him and was crucified. We are not above persecution. Many religions back then and now are evil. The call still stands. Picking up your cross does not end in 2023.

I'm not a fan of Sam, but Dr White is not revealing the full picture. I agree that we should be kind and loving towards the general Muslims. But the kind of Muslims Sam mostly deals with are the combative types. Western politeness and civility is considered a sign of weakness and false-standing by combative Muslims. They will mock and deceive endlessly unless you know how to handle them. The question Dr White needs to ask himself is why have Yasir Qadhi, Shabbir Ally and Adnan Rashid not become Christians (or at least leave Islam) today, despite his kindness to them?

@@kenid4144we all know why they haven’t. The point wasn’t that love and kindness saves Muslims. It’s that our love and kindness drives us to share the gospel with them so that the power of God may save them if they believe. The same as it should for all people groups over the globe.

@@LucasJagneaux I get your point. But I doubt that point can be supported by the Bible. It seems like mere human reasoning or methodology based on personal experience or Western ethic of politeness. The Bible says "the love of Christ compels us"...NOT our love and kindness compels us. It is absolutely vital to love all humans, but if we want to exploit love as a tactic to reach out to Muslims, that is sheer scheming. In fact, Christian missionaries are mocked in some parts of India for their love kindness and charity because they see those acts as a stepping stones to unwarranted proselytizing. My point is, there are times when Christians need to take the bull by the horn and go hard on islam, especially when dealing with "bulls" i.e tough combative Muslims (see Matthew 12). And this should be done because Christ's love compels us to do so...not by thinking a sissified and humanistic kindness will make us want to share the gospel. That's delusional, to say the least.
@LucasJagneaux
@LucasJagneaux 10 ай бұрын
@@kenid4144 Right. I can definitely agree with that statement. I suppose the word "love" has taken on some negative connotations in our western, post modern society. When I mentioned love, I absolutely mean the biblical love of Christ for His church. Not sissified, niceness. I mean the same love that caused Paul to oppose Peter to his face when he was being a hypocrite. Not a love that demands acceptance and compromise of truth, but a deep love and desire to see the lost saved, so their souls don't suffer in Hell for eternity. It goes beyond the muslim. Christians, above all others, should be the light of the world, the city set on the hill. Not in compromise of truth, but in covenant with the God who loved us, when we hated Him.

@@denisesmith3544 JESUS HIMSELF name Simon Bar Jona CEPHAS! It means ROCK!!! New Thayer's Greek - Engish Lexicon says concerning 2786 "Cephas" "A ROCK", the surname of Simon the Apostle: John 1:42, 1Cor. 1:12, 3:22; 4:5 (which reads, "the rock that followed them was Christ), 15:5, and also in Gal.1:18, 2:11, 14." The New Strongs Exhaustive Dictionary says this, "2786. Keµphas, kay-fas´; of Chald. or. [comp. 3710]; the Rock; Cephas (i.e. Kepha), a surname of Peter:- Cephas. Related to this word is the Kefa from the Hebrew which is #3710 which reads as follows: 3710.e keÆph, kafe; from 3721; a hollow rock:- rock." In every case when the word "Cephas" is used it only means "rock" not pebble or stone. The name Peter is the transliteration of the word "Cephas" from the Aramaic to the Greek. Cephas only means "rock". Harper Collins Bible Dictionary page 173 remarks on the name "Cephas" "From the Aramaic kay fa Rock, a surname equivalent to Peter, cf John1:42, Matt.16:17-18." "The gospel does not over look however, the eminence of Peter in early tradition. I'm sure Dr. White has read it (or at least knows what it says), and has rejected its hateful, vitriolic message. I'd read that it was written near the end of Luther's life, when he was sickly, in bitter conflicts with many he disagreed with, and was embittered toward the Jewish people over disappointment that his earlier philosemitic works (e.g. "That Jesus Christ was Born a Jew") didn't lead the Jews to convert to Christianity. Listen to Dr. White's excellent teaching on "Sacralism."

@@jeffreysnyder936 If Dr. White was an honest scholar he'd know that there's no such thing as a "jew". In the Bible we have: Hebrews, Isrealites and Judeans (jews) and they're not synonymous! Where the Bible speaks of "jews" it means Judeans and in a lot of cases, it's a location description, not someone who's from the line of Judah. Jesus was from the line of Judah, and he was of pure Israeli stock, unlike the "mixed multitude" the Bible talks about and reiterates in Romans 9 and Revelation 3. But Dr. White won't tell you this, because even though he claims to be postmillenial, he's still "Judeo Christian", which is an oxymoron!
