I create an apothecary in a small wooden cabinet.

with 4 core elements :
1.create a scene or scenery
(wintery and festive or otherwise)
you can work 2 or 3 dimensional

Thank you so much Andrea. I appreciate your encouragement. I really enjoyed altering the box itself, creating the do dats and details were fun too, but it was more the matter of collecting stuff and just gluing it in. I am happy with the way it came out as I always wanted to do an apothecary. : )

I love a little apothecary cabinet…and how you transformed this one Ina! So fun…and I just can’t imagine where you store all your stash! Your alterations on the box were pretty cool…even before you started filling it up! You are having so much creative fun!🧡

Thanks so much Denise ! 😊I did have fun with this and it did take forever to finish. I am pleased you like the way it came out. Most of those bottles came from the $ store, the rest I picked up at a Thrift store. I have 2 of those handyman drawer sets for all the little bits and some plastic containers for bigger junk. I have to keep it down as my space is limited. Nice to know you are watching. Big Hugs : )

OH Ina...you know I love this, absolutely my favorite project of yours and having done three of this type of art pieces myself, definitely a favorite to do. You were so right when you told me we were thinking along similar lines! Everyone was certainly in the spooky Halloween spirit, what a great line up of pieces. Looking forward to November, a very interesting set of challenge elements.

Thanks so much George. I guess the cabinet is something of an assemblage as well, just quite different to what I usually do. It was fun and more time consuming than I planned, but worth it. I like it too. : )

You outdid yourself again Ina. What an interesting and fun piece you created !!! I love it. All the little items you added make it so interesting to look at. I kept pausing the video to enjoy seeing all the details. It looked like a lot of work but it definitely was worth it.

You must have had só much fun with this project Ina! The apothacary was already beautiful, but you even extended it and I see the love and attention you gave to the basics alone. You are so good at this 👏. You own a great collection of funny and beautiful little things, the creativity is what you do with it. You've made it into a mysterious, spooky, grungy, scary cabinet. And very time consuming I suppose! Love the tiny little mushrooms btw.... You can be very proud of the way your 4 cores came alive! Great line-up as well. Thanks a lot Ina, see you in the next challenge! X

Thank you Mieke. The cabinet took me awhile to alter and I am glad you notice the work that went into it. Nothing in this project was fast LOL, but I had lots of fun with it. Grungy, spooky and hopefully not too scary is ok and I like to add that to some of my art. I don't like the bloody, gory, horror stuff, that's not me. Skeletons and skulls are natural to all living beings and esp. for us humans , it's one sure thing we all have in common ,no matter of differences. I am looking forward to the next challenge as well. Looking forward to yours. : )

Ina, that’s creepy wonderful. I enjoyed watching you make the cabinet with all the bits and bobs. I visit thrift stores often and will be looking for an apothecary cabinet to give to my daughter. She loves fall and Halloween. She and her husband live in a Halloween neighborhood where lots of homes are decorated to the max. They made their front porch into a stage for a rock band of skeletons with an audience of skeletons coming up out of their lawn to watch the show. There were gravestones, bones and skeleton flamingoes in the garden. Something everywhere. So much fun! I think she’d enjoy an indoor tableau in a box of some kind. Those tiny light sets would be excellent inside. You inspire me.

I thought about adding little lights, but just could not figure out, how to get it into each compartment. Maybe next time. : )

Thank you Starla. It took me longer than I thought it would. I worked on it nearly a week, maybe 20 to 25 hours. Part of it is decision making. LOL : )
