Yes because it acts as a deterrent for people under 18 and those too dumb. Coincidentally, anyone under 18 and those who are too dumb, is a great way to ensure that only smart and/or +18 people see the content. It is a great way to eliminate the issues that arise when people who are under 18 (and dumb) see explicit content.
