Hey everybody. I appreciate all the positive words. I have actually been blessed to turn out half decent. And ive overcane alot. I do have my drug issue wich is actually pretty new to me. I had a house fire followed by a theft and it flipped my life upside down and I had to stay with family and I dealt with my issues the wrong way and done some heroin which like I said i got from my mom when I had a toothache. But I dont have the desire to continue on the drugs and ive tried to quit 5 times recently and failed. But im gonna do what it takes to quit this shit

I hope you make it off drugs, brother. Or if not, I hope you can manage your habit to the point that you can keep living a good life. Personally I think all drugs should be legal and available and the government should stay out of it. I'm from Indiana and drugs are huge here....but from what I've seen, the drugs only become a problem when they run out. When people have access to the drugs they want, they seem happy and productive in a lot of cases. Their lives only get bad when they run out of drugs and get sick and desperate. They're fine when they've got what they need. Suboxone is a perfect example. Good luck man, your video was cool and I enjoyed it a lot.

UPDATE: Dusty is no longer teaching!! A small victory. Now, he needs to be put in a jail cell. Dusty Grubb of North Laurel Middle School is the youth pastor/teacher Matthew is referring to in this video. He was my sixth grade algebra teacher. My good friend at the time’s sister always told us to NEVER let anyone or yourself be alone with him in a room. She said he got into some trouble in 2011 due to allegations. He was allowed to keep teaching and still is today. We knew from the beginning he was beyond sickening and all of us knew something was up. There’s a lot of people right now coming forward (again) because of this video. Thank you for sharing your story, Matthew.

The school principal that turned a blind eye and has been protecting him all these years should be in prison as well because he’s equally as complicit. King Croc I’m not Christian but criminals/pedophiles come in all color, race, religion. (Probably abuse) that’s why a lot of victims don’t speak up because many will not believe. I’m not saying that people don’t lie about abuse but it’s better to investigate than come to a conclusion saying they are not guilty without investigating. Criminals (neighbors, family members, pastors ect. We walk amongst these terrible people. Many have to stop categorizing a certain group and say they are pedophiles/criminals. I’m not trying to be rude and everyone has a different opinion. But I’m tired of people putting a label in certain groups/race/religion. Just because they are Christian they are not pedophiles 🤦🏻‍♀️ come on now I don’t know how you can think that. As I said anyone you know may be a criminal/pedophile. Please open up your mind and don’t take it the wrong way on what I wrote.

We as addicts can change our paths as they arent written in stone and even if they were there are always chisels. Choosing subs over herion is choosing a different path in itself. I reckon the key will be to keep choosing the right path at every fork in the road. Its hard though, as i feel stuck myself but i know we have the possibility of making it out of this alive. I have been following your channel for a while mark and the Appalachian videos have been really hitting home for me lately. I am from right outside of clay county,Kentucky, but recently moved to Baltimore Maryland and it really took me moving here to really realize the type of struggles that Appalachian people face compared to other places and how little it’s talked about. Here everywhere you look here there’s luxury cars, private schools,so much opportunity. Where I am from you are more likely to see a man driving a beat up lawnmower on the highway than you are a Mercedes, and it’s easier to find meth than it is to find a job. When Matthew says it’s a hopeless place he isn’t kidding. The last time I was in clay county was to attend my bestfriends funeral who was 16 at the time and died from a drug overdose. I am 25 years old and I have lost 7 people in my life who were close to me to addiction/drugs. On that list includes my dad,and my aunt. Thankyou for making these videos mark, because the struggles of the Appalachian people isn’t talked about enough.
