This day started like any other day out detecting but quickly turned into the best dig I've ever had. No sign a house ever stood there and I needed a few more clips to make a video...then I make a shocking discovery.....still speechless.

Wow Todd, what an amazing day you have had. An you just may have scratched the surface. That's the kind of finds we like to find every time we are out detecting. Unfortunately we don't but when we do man isn't it an amazing day for us. I to believe, that there was a colonial structure/home way before the houses that you showed us in the video. Thats just my guess. Maybe even an old store/trading post or stage coach stop, or a tavern. We just don't know unless someone took the time way back then to document it or photograph its structure. An even that wasn't cheap back then. Probably would have had to been a painting I'd say. 1807, Now that's old. That dates way before the structures that you showed us today on your video. Todd, congrats on all your finds. I know you said today has been some of your best finds ever. Can you imagine that they are going to get even better? Trust me they will. It's all about getting out there over an over again. An then a day like today shows up. YAY!!!! I've watched you in alot of beautiful old home places in those Appalachian mountains that are very old home sites to. An they just didn't turn up much. Could've been because they were just so poor. Well today makes up for all of those days. Sometimes Todd, i think it's just me not hearing the signal right or just not digging something I didn't think was a good enough signal. There's places I've been many times an not found much of anything an then i go back. An you guessed it, i found an old indian, or a silver or some type of relic. An alot times it more then just one i find. Todd another great video. Can't wait to see what you find next on the property/permission. Have an awesome weekend my friend. An once again, congrats on your finds so far. 😁👍👍

My thoughts too.....definitely a house there 100 years older than the one the landowner believes was the first house on the property. I do go back and find more great things, including coins. I need to go back a third time but have yet to.

A great hunt and find Todd. I sometimes forget to get on here to thank you because I watch the videos on my tv. Just know I love each and everyone of them and love seeing the beautiful sites and places you take us. I wish I had kept some of those old coins my grandma used to give us years ago but being a kid the o nky thing we could think of was going to the store. We has no idea we were spending coins that would be worth money one day. Some were from the late 1800s. Dumb kids. Lol.

Thanks CA Nomad. In this hunt I had my iPhone which is tough to hold and dig at the same time. I normally have a GoPro on a tripod. In my earlier videos I would film everything the entire dig but received backlash about doing this as many felt it was boring or unnecessary. I still try showing live digs in each episode but not every plug to keep the videos around 20 minutes. Also being a digger yourself we both know that 95% of dug items are trash/aluminum. Filming every plug dig to capture the 5% can chew up a lot of the disc memory in the camera. I think this is why most channels pick and choose live digs for the same reasons. Do you get to detect for gold out that way?
