Look I respect the drop test HOWEVER drops are like opinions ( they will vary ) on how it’s dropped, how the phone falls, what it falls on, if the concrete is smooth, if the floor or ground is rigid etc etc - I’ve been phones fly from upwards of 10-12 ft and nothing happen - I’ve also seen someone drop the phone getting out of a car and it break. So your experience will VARY and that’s a guarantee. Best bet ( which sucks ) is cover the phone up in a nice protective case. Period! Great video, I even gave it a like. Just saying everyone’s experience will indeed vary

We all know how iPhone works. Dropping it on purpose on concrete not going to break it. But god forbid, if I accidentally dropped it on my carpet, its shattered

The fact the camera lense didint act up or a scratch it’s impressive enough seeing that’s the second most expose part other than the front panel. My biggest fear actually not scared of the sides get scratches nor the case but the camera lense let alone the parts inside😅

Thats crazy. I got the case just to be as minimal as possible. Never expected much if any protection. Actually have bought an Otterbox and a Spigen thinking ehhh maybe just in case (ha pun) I go for a hike or bike ride..... Impressive vid

OH DAMN. KUDOS TO YOU for doing this for us! i was concerned about these cases being tough even though they are aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Now i know i can get one and my phone will be safe. Hope you can get another phone!

so i've owned the silicone case on the 13 pro and the clear case and leather case on the 14 pro max and in summary, not a fan of the clear case due to the open bottom which can make screen protectors feel sharper. The leather case was nice with metal buttons but my favourite is the silicone case because of the MagSafe strength and the rubber coating provides an incredible amount of grip. But in my experiences, all 3 of these cases wear really quickly if you are the clumsy type so expect them to show their age.

man, waited for this vid forever. in the end i just bought the silicone case a few months ago, and judging by your vid, it was a good call! also thanks for the vid, it's better than anything out there. i dropped my case once and it has a slight dent at the edge, similar to the one you showed, but that's all. overall worth the money ! beware of fakes tho, there are a lot! and a lot of them are really close lookwise. you should be sure that at least you get the animation when putting it on and preferably just buy from a trusted reseller for peace of mind, because some of the fakes are close in price to originals.

Love mine a lot but don’t trust the case to protect it. I’ve dropped it a few times in our house and the phone seems to pop out from the corners when it happens. If it was on asphalt I’d be really worried.

i had an iPhone 6S Plus where i threw it at a wall in a case out of being generally a bit pissed off, and the phone had the same issue, phone worked fine, but when i opened the phone somehow something had caused a small tear in the battery towards the top, i think the repeated dropping of all those cases plus that one hard smack has caused something to come loose and then torn the battery slightly.

Wasn’t sure if I wanted to spend $60 on this case but now I’m certain it’s worth it. I like to keep my phone for 3-4 years so I need a case that can last that long. Usually the cheap $10-$20 cases either fall apart or they’re too bulky and look bad. My last case was $10 and the back peeled off so I removed it and a week later my phone cracked… definitely worth investing into a better case, especially if you have an expensive phone.

So kids, we can deduce from this that the case in fact did NOT do it’s job in protecting the phone seeing as the battery is now leaking 😩🥴

I dropped it from waist height too so I guess it just depends. Honestly very surprised about the results here considering how unprotective my experience was

I find that the lip doesn’t come up high enough so I’ve gone through a lot of screen protectors. Also, as with any silicone case, it tears easily. Looks and feels nice, but it wears down quickly and doesn’t provide the best protection.

One day I threw my iPhone 13 Pro Max at a wall very lightly while in a video chat with my friends. I had “20 Feet Drop Protection Case” and “8X stronger #1 Screen Protecter.” What happened was the Phones screen itself shattered and not a single other thing was damaged. It still worked tho… any thoughts on how my wall doesn’t even look like it got touched by a baby’s light touch and it freaking broke into practical pieces?

I have the iPhone 12 mini with an Apple silicone case I’ve dropped it only twice on hard tile by accident and the back glass has completely shattered before there was no damage these cases aren’t worth it in my opinion. Costing $50 to have my phone shattered believing it would protect it. All you’re buying is the Apple brand and no protection

for me, the drop test needs to be done on asphalt. I've dropped my naked iPhone tens of times on smooth surfaces - wood floors, tile floors, concrete sidewalks - never an issue. only minor scratches. dropped once in a silicone case on asphalt and it was shattered...

unfortunately my bf dropped his phone (3ft) from our nightstand and the back and the camera is completely cracked with his silicon case. We were shocked as to how horrible it cracked. Sadly he doesn’t have apple care and will be paying their fee :/
